where are the PWE community team?

its been a few days since the migration and i have yet to see this new forum receive the usual moderation that the sto community had on the old forum. the community people seem to be missing as well, apart from trendy posting a latest release notes, there has not been any serious contact with anyone official since taco the other day on ten forward here.

i am somewhat amazed by the lack of interest? decision? whatever the reasons are, it looks but not sure with any accuracy that the new forum has been somewhat ignored (dont know the behind the scenes reasons). i hope it changes, because there are a number of threads on general that shouldnt be there at all and some that should of seen some action at the least.

where is that bacon munching trendy? it was only until recently trendy has been a lot more communicative with the forum community, the only other person who communicated that much was brandon before he left us. i would hate to see all that momentum suddenly stop.

I think I saw Askray getting into a Mod grumble with someone yesterday. Without the Dev Tracker it is really difficult to see Dev posts - because of the new layout I just do not frequent all of the forum like I used to pre transfer.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

...so there's a start, more folks can add more folks as they like, eh? Folks can put together their own little devtracker bookmarks folder and go at it like it's 1995.

so nothing really recent as soon as the migration was completed apart from askray? lots of this stuff is directly outside the timeline i am asking.

i know of bluegeeks departure as a voluntary mod, but thats a pm message and beyond that i wont state anything else so i dont get him or myself into trouble.

off topic for a moment i wish there was a way to disable the embed link for youtube, virus is always uploading a youtube video on every reply. my opinion of what i think of it aside as virus has that right until otherwise stated officially.

I wish we had the option to disable the embedding of YouTube links, images, and Twitter (Hell, any of those things). I don't want to remove the ability for folks to see those as embedded if that's what they want, but as somebody that doesn't want to see those as anything other than a link - I think it would awesome to have an option/preference sort of thing where we could get those shown as links instead.

Yes, for the past couple of days is it - I've been including random music videos from YouTube as a form of protest to show just how annoying they potentially could be. It's a form of dynamic signature, but unlike the signatures and signature images which can be hidden - the tedious eyesore that is the ability to embed things like YouTube videos cannot be hidden.

Meh, there's not even an option to post the link to a YouTube video...it automatically embeds it.

But hey, since it was finally raised in the way it was - I'm going to go ahead and stop. Cause frankly, it's freaking annoying to look at. It's one thing to have it in something like the music thread there - but even there, I'd prefer that there was the option just to view links...but with the embedded videos serving as such a distraction in normal threads - yeah, my "embedded" protest of embedding is at an end.

since you pulled it out i mean i would not of attacked you over what you were doing, but yes i found it very annoying and didnt even realize it was a protest you were doing. in any event your choice so thats the end of that point.

so the end of off topic at that point.

To the best of my knowledge, those YouTube vids don't autoplay - they're no worse than some of the extra-long sigs I've scrolled past before. Not a big deal, really.

What I wish the YouTube videos would do would be display their title so I know exactly what I'm clicking on before I take the chance of clicking on it. I don't understand why that doesn't happen here, since when I see YouTube embedded on other pages (such as news sites), I can see the video's title before clicking.
