I was certain I had obtained the Luxury Cruiser last year, but I cannot find it on any of my characters and I can't reclaim it. I have more than enough pearls for it, but due to an error on either my end or the games I simply don't have it. And now it seems I can never get it again.
Would it be so much to ask for the ships to be put in the buyback store for pearls so that those who missed it by mistake but did put in the effort to earn it in the time they were supposed to can have it? We can't earn pearls anymore, nobody can buy it if they weren't supposed to be able to before the summer event ended last year. I don't see how it will hurt anyone.
Please, I beg. I'll even pay 2000 pearls for it. Just please give me a chance to buy it.

i doubt its coming back, i mean there is a chance, but i am not a mind reader so there it is. however i would put the odds stacked against a return.
Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
Still waiting to be able to use forum titles
maybe they thought here are players who may be getting pearls this year just in the hopes that if they like next years ship more they can get the thing the first day without even playing the event as they are supposed to and never bother getting the first ship at all.
its all very well for players to stock up on event currency and then say well I have played it just as much as I would then anyway so whats the problem but look at it from cryptics point of view, if every player did this perhaps next year they will run the event and no one will attend but still all get the ship.
it might surprise players but when cryptic run these events they actually want players to play them instead of claiming the ships on the first day and then taking the rest of the month off to do other things.
I hope you are lucky and anyone who missed any ships ends up getting them some how, I just don't think it will happen, that ship has sailed.
I very much doubt this will happen, I don't think cryptic are dumb enough to offer ships for an event that 99% of players have already got just for the odd 1% who missed it even in maintenance mode when most of the players who missed it have probably left the game anyway, most likely they would not bother running these events in the first place if the game was actually in maintenance mode.

they stopped doing it for a reason you know. (a pretty TRIBBLE reason but a reason nonetheless).
If they give into you and many others here then later on other will be like "but you did it for them!!!!" and so forth.

I'm going to keep posting this thread so it isn't forgotten. it's their own thread, 110 pages of player outrage everything from anger to bargaining in which Cryptic told us to go to hell, and then shut down any discussion and closed the thread.
You are getting NOTHING out of Risa. You will play it the way THEY want you to play it. You will take what they give you, and if you continue to complain I would not be surprised if they start removing people from the forums. At the very least, that's what I'm expecting at this point.
That topic didn't get closed to "shut down any discussion". It was closed because players would throw a tantrum about it and voicing threats and generally just spouting flames. Because some starship was taken out of their free to play video game. If I had any say in the matter, even if there was still a glimmer of those ships returning I would now abandon all those plans, just because.

I was tempted this summer to run the Risa Event for the Risian Escort, then they took it away. One of my characters has set foot on Risa this year, and that was only to unlock the event. I haven't been back since, and I have no intention of doing so. Birds? Rabbits? Swimsuits? No! I wanted a Risian Escort, they took it away, so my characters will explore elsewhere in the Galaxy [if/when I can be bothered to log-on].

I`m sure there will be many threads of that nature until players realise this is the way it is from now on, and begging and pleading aint gonna change a thing.
I got a feeling the devs aren't gonna budge on this one.

It's in Cryptic interest to keep these ships around with the new system of retiring the yearly currency, people are more likely to pay for getting them! Not smart to think one enhances game by removing ships from even being bought again. Might as well retire all old zen and lockbox ships with their logic.
don't you know they have the right to change the rules without prior notice, it might be uncool to do so but that's just unfortunate.
this is why when ever I get an event ship or any other free item I check double check and then check again to make sure I actually have it.
the best way to ensure you have future ships is to slot the project on the first day then each time you do the event feed in the tokens for the ship that day until the project is completed and you have claimed your reward.
saving tokens up with the idea of feeding them in all in one go is just asking for trouble, there are just so many things that can spoil your plans, you could accidentally discard them or simply just forget to feed them in at the end or who knows what else.
then when you have claimed your prize make sure it is in your inventory if its packed or is available to use in your ship selector if it is not packed.
I`m sad to say that for one reason or another cryptic have chosen to remove these ships and I have a feeling that all these 'just give us one more chance' threads will not change that.
