Anyone else think that when Kahless sings/chants during the House of Pegh mission sounds like the Ricola herbal mouth drops? LOL

I was wondering if anyone else noticed the singing... What poor tone-deaf person did they hire for it? I don't like to be stingy about musical training but it really was bad.

I just wish there as an option to kill that bag of wind myself in order to stop that infernal song.

Of all the dyson, delta, and now at least "House of Pegh" where they removed half the voices in the game, they forgot to remove the singing.

Truth be told, I don't mind the singing

I actually like Kahless' song--though "chant" might be a better word. It's very much like anglo-saxon or viking plain chant, which sounds weird to the modern ear--sort of like Eowyn's song from the expanded LOTR.

That one part DOES remind me of the Ricola commercials, though.

He is a better lounge singer then he is a warrior.
Well excuse me for having enormous flaws that I don't work on.

This is were it come from and its specifically about Kor since its called "Dirge for Kor the Dahar Master" as his name is on the lyrics.

    Translation ...

This is one of the reasons why House Peg is the worst mission on the game.

First of all, songs (and language) change meaning all the time. Maybe Kahless was singing an older version. Or maybe he was doing a tribute to the Dahar master. Who knows?

Second, continuity in Star Trek lore is a freaking joke, and invoking it as a criticism is just silly. I mean, hell, I remember when the Klingon homeworld was named Klinzhai, not this Q'onos garbage.:D

I still say the song sounds like the Ricola cough drop jingle.

..and the name Q'onos looks like where you buy submarine/hero sandwiches.

    the Klingon have gone commercial

The chanting in the planet killer / Doomsday weapon episode was good.

The chanting of Kahless the Monologger was . . . appropriate to his level of competence.

Hell, in TNG's first season it was named Kling.

I don't know about the song. I'd think the Iconians speaking like Daleks from "Dr. Who" would be more of a lawsuit issue.

    This!

Its really good, im thankful ive never had to witness that advert though probably because im from the UK.

Always probably explains why I loved every moment of that chant when I was running up the hall to fight more heralds haha its was brilliant to fight with my fake-sword of kahless in one hand and the chant in the background.

    definitely felt very klingon.

Sadly how that episode ended was far more disappointing that I actually imagined.

What kind of klingon attempts to talk his enemy to death? pffft.

I liked it. It is really more of a chant than a song. Wish there were more things such as QeylIss chanting before battle in this game. Adds to immersion. People seem unaware it is the little things which sustain suspension of disbelief and contribute to immersion. Like with a lot of things in this game, the writer(s?) will include things like this and then turn around five seconds later to stick a giant "Wait, What?!" incident in as well. Which jars me right out of the story.

Sorry, not sorry. I think the writer(s?) really should be replaced. With someone who has at least has a passing familiarity with Star Trek. You know, someone like JJ Abrams.

House Pegh finished Kahless's story arc - he became the man he was born to be in death. I'm immensely fond of that mission.

Any mission where a Klingon sings is bound to wind up among my favorites.
