I dont know about the rest of you but looking at the new T6 vet fed ship the slight changes make the vessel IMO 10 better looking i cant wait to get my hands on it.
I like the Fed vet ship visuals, always have. I get a kick out of nice bellies
But they surely aren'T worth 200-300 bucks for me, especially since I don't play many raptors/escorts, if any at all.

That's be cause you're assigning the entire amount to only one of the lifetime perks. Had my LTS for about 4 years now, and I've long since gotten my money back from the stipend alone. And it just keeps on giving. No regrets.

The lifetime membership is great if you have had it for 3-4 years like you have. If you got it then and played all this time (or most of it) then it was a solid deal.
I don't however, think it would be a wise investment for anyone to purchase today. It's just hard to imagine this game having enough life left in it to validate a $200 purchase. It's nice to see the Vet ship get upgraded for the existing vets, but I highly doubt that ship is enough to convince most players to buy a Lifetime Sub today, even at $100 off.
Up until the last 6 months or so, I recall seeing the Fed Vet DD often. The T6 visuals look markedly better though the KDF one looks the best of the 3. The T6 version is a natural evolution of stats and an option for LTS players. Solid enough Escort for play with T6 stats.

Well, that's true. Naturally I cannot speak for a LTS purchased four years ago. I consider it now, though, too late to be profitable for me personally. Also, rght now I don't feel like spending five currencies on the game (due to an overall gamedesign course I disagree with) so spending a LTS is completely out of the question. I am a subscriber veteran already, though, so most of the gold benefits I own already and the LTS rewards after the mark I reached via subscriptions aren't all that interesting to me to justify the cost

They are very flexible ships and don't have to be escorts at all. They get the commander tac, but that can just as easily be used to load up on FAW and APB for beam broadsides. The uni slots can make it very a different ship for different characters. I set up 3 characters for working on the ship trait, and each of them are using a different BOFF in the LTC uni slot. One is sci, another tac, and the third slotted an engie. One uses cannons, the others use beams.
Even the T5 version is one of the more fun ships to play with and try different things.
As for the price, I wouldn't do it at this point either, but that is a personal decision to make.
Go to a ship requisitions officer, very last ship on the right after the pilot ships.

Mine's not showing up now, even the old Chimera isn't showing up, just the Fleet version.

I guess the way to look at it is this: Are you a subscriber now? Do you think you will be subscribing for another 18 months or so? If yes, then the lifetime subscription would be worth it. You are already putting the same amount of money out for the subscription you are currently using.
Be interesting to lean more heavily on torpedoes now given the Command LtCmdr. Concentrate Firepower 3 plus the trait plus (if Klingon) add in the Mat'ha's trait. People had mentioned how frustrating it was that Command offered torpedo stuff but was limited to cruisers that weren't the best torpedo platforms, but now its available on something more suitable. If I had one I'd give it a shot just to see.

Having flown it, the ship is nice. I, along with others, are still testing the trait. These additions are a boon to kinetics, which has seen a bust in development when looking at the overall powerCreep in this game.

If you use the Mat'Ha Trait along with this and the trait from the SheShar it can be very interesting for torpedoes. Add in KHG Shields, Engines, and Counter Command Deflector and you could definitely have some fun with Kinetics.

Just to comfirm, as I can't tell from your forum title, you are a 1000-day subscriber and/or a lifetime subscriber, correct?
I'm neither. But I had been able to see the T5 Chimera in my ship acquisition list before along with the fleet variant since I started playing last year. It's only when I wanted to check out the T6 and its stats, did I realise that my T5 Chimera is gone from the list and there's no T6 Chimera next to the pilot ships. I know I'm not able to get them unless I'm a 1k day veteran or LTS but I assumed that you should be at least be able to view it.
I will say having used the Manticore a bit, I am quite glad I skipped the Fed Command Ships. The same goes with the Romulan Vet ship and skipping the Romulan Command ships. I still like my KDF Command ships, as more than 1/2 my toons are KDF.

I knew using Kinetics would be playing the game on hard mode, but what I didn't realize was how bad the deck is stacked against Kinetics.
