So.. I keep seeing new content being added and new things being added for revenue generation however what i dont see is the lag getting fixed.. It seems to have calmed down a little bit from the start of Season 10 but to be honest it started back in season 9 launch and only peaked at the release of 10 as the more content being added the worse it got..
Even with what patches that have came out I as well as others are still getting this banding lag spike like lag..
I've went as far as wiping the game out and reinstalling.. doing benchmark testing on my rig and come to the same conclusion every time.. its either code or server side..
I've had this issue ever since the launch of 9 like i already said but it seems despite the 'best efforts' of the team its still got issues.
Its like the server or its engine cant handle the extra work load.. or there some issue with the amount of traffic the servers can handle I don't know.. not my problem as a consumer..
All i do know is; as a consumer I as well as most others are probably urged by the flow of 'new content and such' hitting an already overworked server that is not able to keep up.. constantly having issues...
I'm all for yall making money; that's what your hear for and its what keeps the game going but the game has this lag twitch now that wont go away.. I think this should be put before releasing new content and stuff to the server.. I don't think that's too much or out of line for a consumer to ask..

The list on the left are things they finished changing to fix lad. The big double list on the right are the tricky ones they need to rewrite not just alter. Also, per borticus down a bit in the thread, they are not all confirmed to be guilty, that's their list to investigate.
Still that first list is a long list of things they've improved.

Thanks for the link.. i think useability should take priority of new features.
It's like buying a car the dealer makes it all shiny but it doesn't go... bring into the dealer to fix it and they worry more about how they can add stuff on to it rather than fixing the problem before overloading it more.
yet again.. risa event launched.. but instead of focusing on the already present bugs with lag now they are being brought to all the bugs on risa as its the main attraction atm..
so I guess we'll wait and see.. I'm glad that its gotten some what better but its only bandaged it feels like they are only interested in fixing it to the point where its some what useable and let that be enough..
maybe I'm wrong but that's how i as a consumer feels on the situation. Other wise it would be made top priority before all else fix it before launching more code to overwhelm the already apparent overworked or corrupted engine, code or servers.
Heh, coming back to the game after a long absence I thought they changed it so when you flew to a system you actually had to fly into the beam of light, because it was so laggy, only last night did it work and bring up the option to enter the system or run the mission when I pulled up to the system.
The sand castle building seems a bit buggy as well.
I'm, at the moment, a little ticked off by the lag too.
I never quit stfs, no matter how bad they go. I stay if others drop out or if the optionals go south - its a courtesy to my fellow players to stick around and do what i can.
Well, today i flew backwards while at full impulse forward, zig zagging irratic across the map, going left when i hit right, going down when i hit up and abilities activating in the most chaotic fashion with their cooldowns ticking down, then up again, then down and up again. Minutes in i got the dreaded disconnect. Once i reconnected i was hit with the afk/leavers penalty. Now that's something that really ticks me off. :mad:
Oh well, sooner or later they'll get this under control. I rather hope it's sooner because it is hurting the game quite a bit.

Even Iconian Gateway is lagging now, that used to be "fairly" lag free before risa.
I hope they double down on this issue...its really getting tiresome.

But I would just encourage them to keep working hard at it. We need this resolved.
The devs nerfed the exp rewarded from each bug fix, and borticus spent all his 25 specialization points in the "spreadsheet artist" tree because he wanted the "improved 3-monitor workstation" trait. So now he needs to grind a lot of the daily "tribble test problem patrols" problems to get enough spec points for the "debugger" spec tree.
Well word has it that the interaction between antiproton beam arrays (especially upgraded arrays Mk 13/14) and BFAW is a major contributor to the current latency.
People are recommended to use different energy types such as polaron, disruptor and phaser.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
