There is no such thing as a delta quadrant character. I think you mean delta recruit. That was a limited time event which is over now, if you didn't make one during the event then you don't have one and can't get one unless they decide to rerun the event.

Did you make one during the event? F you did, then as you use that character to complete story missions both that character and every other character on your account get special rewards.

No, I didn't make a character during the event, I only came back to the game on Saturday. I will make sure I actually registered the content, because I've looked through store and never seen any delta quad stuff to claim.

Here is a rather interesting question regarding storyline missions...You know...The ones broken down into episodes? Is there a reward for completing every one of those missions? If so, is it worth going to the trouble of completing all of them?

There is a reward for delta recruits, there is no bonus reward for other characters.

Some people enjoy the story and that is reason to play everything. The mission are the fastest experience so many people play them for that reason. The mission rewards are quite good in general, especially while leveling.

On the other hand, there are missions many people hate which often get skipped (vault, coliseum, boldly they rode, of bajor, operation gamma, etc).

So, if you have a delta recruit, you really want to play everything. If not then its up to you, there are pros and con's and it really comes down to "is it fun for you on this character?"

If you bought the delta operations pack, then you have a lot of cool stuff. You got three purple intelligence officers per character, accces to nine intelligence ships (three per faction), the ability to make talaxian characters, two costume sets, and a few one time goodies like one starship upgrade token for level 50 ships, and several gear upgrade kits to help make your mark 12 gear into mark 13 or 14.

The ships you can only get at level 50, but you can claim your officers immediately. They are really good. But if you want to use them in space you'll need to train a few new skills since they come with intelligence powers and there are no low level intelligence ships.

So, I have definitely registered the key, and under the Delta Operations Pack in the story, it says Available, but the claim button is greyed out saying my character cannot use this item (she is a level 18 Fed).

I'll be home from work in an hour and can give better help then, but from memory, look in the "bundles" section, you should have one for delta bridge officers you can claim. The ships require you to be level 50.

Also, if you haven't yet, get to Risa and start doing the daily "flying high" mission for them free summer ship. Just FYI.

Yes, I have 120 Vouchers so far, but as I understand it I got tier 6 ships in the packs I bought for all of Fed, Roms and KDF that I like the look of more than the Ferengi one, but as I am a bit of a completionist I will grab it anyway.

In the Z Store I open from in game I have the following (and I hit 20 if that makes any difference)

    Featured - no sub categories

Discount Packs - All (no sub categories), this is where I see the Delta Operations Pack as well as my Romulan Pack, there are bundles in here, but no separate category and I don't have available listed by anything other than the Steam Pack, Romulan Pack and the Delta Pack

Ships - Tier 1 - 6, Small Craft, and Bridges, I can only claim the Enterprise here

Duty Officers - All, no sub categories

Items - All, no subs, this is where I got my 30 Keys from the Romulus pack

    Services - All, no subs

    Boosts - All, no subs

Appearance - All, Fed, Rom, Klingon

Personnel - Couple Tribbles, but nothing in any of the other cats

    Promotions - Nothing here

And Legacy - Got all those

What does it mean by very rare officers? Is that Blue or Purple?

Because on both my character I have Flores and an Android Purple, a couple of Alien blues that got while leveling or on the Exchange.

The only purple DOFFS I have are the two I got from Risa so far.

Yep, I don't see the Delta Rising BOFFs pack there, maybe I have to be level 50.

It should still be visible, just with the claim button (possibly) locked out due to level. You might be looking in the wrong place.

I'm seeing it in the "Personnel" section, "All" category (only there), called "Delta Rising Bridge Officers".

    Nope, not there.

Maybe it's that you already open the Delta Pack, and it unpacks all the items into their area or something, so they can be claimed by all the characters.

I just looked at the how to claim items page and it said to claim the pack you have to be level 50. So, I will level quickly this weekend no doubt and let you know once I unload the pack.

Don't really want to take over this thread but here goes. I was a diligent crafter back in update 4, I just sold a shared account stash full of schematics for a pretty penny (nearly 400k worth), and am still getting a hang of the missions. I have mostly just taken them as they pop up (I do check frequently), and been making sure to do the 20 hour beam one.

I've read the thread on DOFFs but honestly, for me it's a bit dizzying. I've bought the Risa DOFFS, blue and Purple, and they seem to be heading up missions quite nicely, but well...I do have some questions.

    1) Am I really stuck to leveling one category of R&D at a time? If I have the mats and whatnot, why can't I queue up a 20 hour project in each one? If It's because I don't have any more R&D Doffs, where's the best place to get more of them?

    2) For the general missions or whatever you call them, in the medical, diplomatic cats, is there a webpage that explains the best sector to go to for each category to level?

    Thanks :)

The 20-hour research projects require research lab scientists. Green ones are on the auctionhouse for a decent price. Or you can run lots of science, explore, and development duty officer projects and at each tier you get a choice of free officers, those three have several tiers with research scientists as an option.

You start with only one crafting slot but eventually can unlock five. Think of it as the max size of the lab your crew has available to work in. Your can run up to three copies of the same!e project so can work on five different schools at once, or focus on two or any combination.

For leveling duty officer categories, in general, while you are playing load up as many short duration projects as you can. Right before you log out load up as many long duration ones as you can. This is for speed leveling.

I don't care about speed, so what I do is first check personal and get confiscate contraband and any bridge officer recruiting. Then I go to my science office and scroll down to the explore section and load up any ruins projects. Then I hit tactical and find strike against fugitive support network and infiltrate orion sindicate. In medical I look for first aid in a combat zone and/finally I hit engineering and see if the 250 dilithium mining in an unstable asteroid is up. If I'm feeling energetic, I hit my fleet dilithium mine or the academy and get those projects. If not, I take all the crafting mat projects I can find and fill up any remaining spots with any mission that gives 50 dilithium.

This rapidly maxes out everything except diplomacy, trade and colonization, so once I occasionally swing by deep space nine and do the diplomacy chains and recruiting missions out there, plus I'm hit the dyson sphere for trade and the 14 explore clusters for colonization and free purple doffs. But these bits I only do when it is convenient due to where I am running missions. I don't go running all over hunting for things.

My kdf are different because they do a lot of marauding plus constantly execute their own crew for mutiny or frame them as changelings and have them killed.

    Greetings, everyone!

Since the 3rd or the 4th of this month, I have been unable to access the Arc Billing Page in the game, on the Arc Launcher, or on any Internet Browsers. Does anybody have any idea how much longer this is going to drag on? And is anyone else having this problem or am I the only sucker here who can't enjoy STO anymore? -_-

I believe you can launch STO from the gameclient.exe file. Search it out and try that instead of using ARC, it might work.

Have you tried clearing your browser caches?

I do not have ARC instealled but I have no problem getting to the Billing page using IE, Chrome, or Firefox.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

Hello again, I have a problem.

After the last patch something strange happened to the beachwear on Risa. I suddenly found out that now I can change color only of the upper part of the Swimsuit String Bikini, and the lower one remains just grey. If I choose Beachwer separates instead of Beachwear set among the types of the clothes, I am no longer able to attach flowers. Thus stuck and very sad.

Another question is about skills. After getting a new rank the game says that I'm free to reshuffle some points if I'm willing to, but in fact when I go to the character that helps doing that, I find that it is not true and I should pay zen. I don't get the trick. Wouldn't you be so kind as to enlighten me about that too?
True enough is my favourite kind of lie.

    Suggested Fed level 30 ship?

I' just hit level 30 as a Tacitical, I had the level 20 Escort, and it's pretty decent but feels slightly wimpy in missions where enemies just port on top of you.

Does the situation improve at 30? I don't have super awesome gear or anything and I only have 26 thousand EC left.

This is just my personal view and others may dispute it, but for levelling I've learnt over time to level in science ships regardless of your profession. I've found that cruisers in general can withstand more damage but take longer to kill things and escorts while weak in defence do a lot of damage, whereas the science ships seem to be a middle ground, and thus easier for new characters to level in.

Obviously that all changes at tier 5+ because you start looking into builds and gear sets and you can get more out of the different ship types.

But my personal opinion is that science ships are generally the happy medium in which leveling becomes less frustrating and speeds up.

You would need a respec token to do that; normally you have to pay Zen for those, but if you have a paid subscription (either the monthly or the lifetime, which is currently on sale BTW), you get one respec token free with each promotion.

Got it, thank you very much, I haven't seen a line about subscription in the game that's why I was confused.

I mostly (at least on Fed/Fed-Rom) use cruisers armed with the Connie phasers and BFAW... but yours is a valid alternative.

Heh, well, if I had any idea what you meant there I would consider an alternative lol

At least the level 30 science ship is not as hideous as the level 20 one.

Last patch notes: Removed the Delta Recruit UI which was still appearing for Delta Recruit captains.

Does that mean you cant get any of the rewards after completing the missions anymore?
I hadn't cashed some of mine in for rep boxes prior to the update. :o

At least the level 30 science ship is not as hideous as the level 20 one.

Well, first the TOS Connie is a C-Store ship. C-Store ships can be dismissed and reclaimed as many times as you want, and the Connie comes with Retrofit Phaser Beam Arrays - so you can keep reclaiming the Connie, and get full sets of those. They're Mk Infinity, which means they'll level with you up to the equivalent of Mk X (or XI?). At that point you can right-click and Upgrade them, and they'll automatically become Mk XII.

Second, FAW refers to Beams: Fire At Will. It's a bridge officer ability that affects all beam weapons (Beam Arrays and Dual Beam Banks) on the ship.

So basically they're saying they fill up a cruiser with Beam Arrays (cruisers have the most weapon slots) and then just Fire At Will to blow everything up. I tend to also do that when leveling new characters.

Just remember your Weapon Power should always be set at 100 unless you're playing with Science abilities, which are powered by Auxiliary Power.
