Xindi Superweapon Ingenuity trait observation

The Superweapon Ingenuity ship mastery trait from the Ateleth (Primate) dreadnought cruiser gives the double tap BO ability. Ostensibly, it can only be triggered through BO1-3 usage. Has anyone noted during play that the [Over] triggers this (it shouldn't).

    Seems to me like [Over] should trigger it, since that mod is simply giving you a free copy of Beam:Overload I

    Borticus said awhile ago that the Superweapon Ingenuity trait does not and will not trigger from the [Over] mod. It would be pretty lame if it did anyways. To get something that powerful, the player should have activate it.

    I'll try to look for the post but it's been a little while since he said it.

    Don't bother looking, I'll confirm again. [Over] procs do not trigger Superweapon Ingenuity.

    Yes, I believe I have done exactly that in the past. However, it's not as " exploitable" when you don't know when the BO1 gets triggered (vs clicking it yourself).
