Missing voice-over and otherwise messed up cutscenes

I recently returned to STO after taking a break in the Japorigate aftermath.
Since I tend to enjoy the story missions the most, I thought best to get back into STO by playing some of these.

Now, does somebody else have missing voice-over from time to time? Some sentences are just... missing. Stuff I am sure had voice-over back when I first played it. I am talking about "Sphere of Influence"/"A Step Between Stars" and onwards.

One example which stood out for me, and was the reason I felt bothered to open a topic about it, was the final cutscene in "Surface Tension" - my favorite STO episode.
The pacing, the drama, the twists... the mission really stood out for me, compared to older content and even to the newer DR and Iconian War missions (which are also good - apart form the too repetetive patrol missions).

This final cutscene really flashed me back in the day when "Surface Tension" was released. I am talking about the speech of J'mpok and the appearence of the mustache twirling Iconian.

Now, not only does J'mpok miss a bit of voiced-over dialogue (compare to the original, where no voice-over is missing), the devs updated (for the second time now) the Iconian's look.
It is supposed to be M'tara. Okay. I get that, and I appreciate such effort for older content.

But please, please do it right. The cutscene is messed up now. The camera movement is just wrong, and the new M'tara model is too big. When the camera should be focused on the Iconian's head, it is focused on her chest. The animation is messed up as well. It pretty much ruined the - for me - most epic scene so far.

Oh, and even M'tara is missing voice-over... "We give you a single warning" is still voiced, but "Do not attract our attention again" is not.

There is other details all over the story missions. Character models not in place, which were in place when the missions were released.
Animaton bugs which are new as well and were not there when the missions were released. Even model/texture bugs (you guessed it - which are new as well).

Examples?

The Ferengi in the "Surface Tension" conference cutscene is missing. This should be a rather prominent example (I read about it a few times) - still not fixed. I clearly remember the Ferengi was were he was supposed to be when I played that mission on release day.

Captain Shon, when flying the Aquarius into the 8472 Planetkiller, is not on the bridge of the Aquarius.

Tuvok, Worf, Neelix - ran over missing voice over for all of them (I should have taken notes).

Two other details which are not really bugs, but more oversights:

1. When E'genn ("Surface Tension" again) looks at a dead security officer and says something among the lines of "Intriguing. Starfleet offered more resistance then expected", said security officer wears a non-updated, non-Odyssee uniform.

2. The Voyager in "Surface Tension" (yeah, I really like that mission) still has the horrible stock bridge from 2010, instead of the neat Voyager/Intrepid bridge (and by extension transporter room) from Delta Rising.

Nitpicking? Sure.
But it really bugs me when missions were better at one point, and somehow just seem to break down with the passing of time.
I would just love to replay DR missions and still have all the voice-over and good cutscenes they had back in fall 2014 for example...

More and more occaisions where there used to be someone talking are now replaced with dead silence. I too noticed this.

In the missions that I've played in the past roughly two weeks where there are cutscenes with dialogue, at least a couple of the actual voiceover lines are dropped. They were all there when Season 10 launched.
This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

    Exactly. Odd, really.
I know a MMO is a complex thing, and changing something completely unrelated can have strange effects... but there has to be a way to stop voice-over from.... disappearing.

Technically the ferengi in surface tension isn't missing, he falls through the floor and is underneath the camera during the cutscene.

Not that this makes it any better...

Of all the times in the game when we've *wanted* to open up a trap door under a Ferengi...

It's sloppy QA practices. They figure a change in X CAN'T POSSIBLY affect Y <--- This is something real and competent programmers and QA managers know -- when you make a change, you can never be 100% sure it won't cascade and affect other seemingly unrelated subroutines.

It's sad too as Cryptic has gone the route of getting actual Star Trek actors to come in and DO voice over; yet seem to care less when it starts dropping out.

If they really don't care about retaining said VO - they should just drop it and hire some better/competent QA staff. That be money better spent if they're going to let a costly item like Star Trek actor VO drop out of the game everytime they do a patch and don't check on it (or respond to various reports about dropped VO/corrupted cutscenes with NPC characters dropping below the world, etc.

It seems at Cryptic on STO QA and quality is job 42 (or lower) - but increasing the grind is job 1,

Just replayed Bloof of the Ancients. Almost all dialogue of Tom Paris is defunct.
Cryptic, I guess you paid a load of money for the voice actor. It would be in your own interest to actually keep it ingame.

Oh, and yeah... sometimes, characters do not move their lips anymore during dialogue in cutscenes. Gaul in "Revolution" for example.
