I like the idea of the major bases having sector space contact points for such services. But I doubt we'd see it since they've really spent some time and money creating the ground social zones.
Id rather pay a million Dil for a respective project to upgrade fleet holdings in such a fashion if it spears me two loading screens and/or the sight of bored people while tending to exchange in the future.

Not sure, would depopulate the social zones. But I think some map transitions should be removed. By that, I mean as planets and systems get a lot larger on approach post revamp do we need a special map to go at full impulse for five seconds to get to Dronza et al? It is rather pointless in most cases. As you approach places like Dronza, 39 and K7 you should just beam down from sector space.
I would rather people NOT have more reason to hang out in sector space. The conversations there are ridiculous and tedious. ESD was bad but you could get away from it....
Yah, not sure what the purpose would be? Aside form the Trader Comm Code everyone gets, there are several trade ships constantly wandering the Galaxy Map, then there are the numerous Planets and Space Stations one can go to for all those things, and finally any sufficiently high level Fleet also has a Transwarp feature.
So not really "feeling" it sorry. As for "showing of their ships"? There are still plenty of players congregated around the various "homeworlds" My guess is, you've just run into a quiet instance if not.
Nah. Once you have some levels under your belt and you've gotten your Doff tiers up, you have enough low-cooldown transwarps that you can get to a bank or whatever instantly. 10 minutes later, you can zap back to wherever you started--or somewhere close.
The things you want make sector space the same as every place else, and it shouldn't be.

not sure if there is a rom version but that is what you need.
I know it has a long cooldown but if your spending that much time in sector space it should not be a problem.
then if enough players ask they may reduce the cooldown.
personally I don't find sector space all that much of a draw and still camp by ESD fed & fed rom or Qo'nos kdf & kdf rom.
