A few of my toons are based at DS9, at the security officer for turning in contraband, but since season 10 came out, the 'haggle for x' doff assignments are not available on DS9 ground. So should I move these toons back to Qo'nos so I can do the academy doff assignments, or do I leave them there a little longer to see if these doff assignments reappear? ty
How about u station them in neighbourhood to DS9 in orbit around your fleets Dil mine? You get access to the entire fleets infrastructure then (including dil doff assignments). Also some doff assignments around where you can upgrade your doffs to better quality and even get new ones in form of prisoner exchanges. Colonist for additional Dil.
The variety there is cool! I get huge loads of Dil in sum and after 6 moth at least one primary and 1 secondary spec tree filled on 8 chars.

Thanks for suggestion, but need to be close to the security officer 4x a day. I have a cell ship based in DS9 sector which they visit once a day, that works well.

Fleet dilithium mine is not far from DS9 so it would be a simple task to travel to the station between doff assignments.
Why don't you just go to the homeworld and operate there until you see someone on the forums state the haggle missions are back, then move them back? Someone is going to be shouting about it here when they return.

There is no real need to worry about Contraband anymore. The confiscate mission has been stealth nerfed into the ground, I'm failing it at about 60-70% rate no matter what DoFFs I use.
After the current ones I run finish, I'm not even going to bother with it anymore, total waste of time. You can move anywhere you want, don't worry about access to a security officer.

Eh, people who turn in bulk contraband to the security officer? They aren't getting it from Confiscate. They're getting it from all those Marauding missions on the KDF side. You couldn't possibly cover 4/day turnins of Contraband off just Confiscate doffing.

Im going to assume you are referring to the personal confiscate assignment, the op is likely referring to kdf characters who can bag contraband like its going out of style with marauding assignments (my kdfs average 30-40 per run that i do once every day or two)

Man for a second there I thought I was on the Eve forum.
Who cares where you log out man it takes 2 seconds to transwarp around.
True with that statement there.
BUT please realise that in STO more is often more and especially when you deal with multiple alts. I have 9 and like to doff them each day preferably 1-2 times. Even if I speed-doff I need some 3 minutes per toon so in sum I easily end up doing it for almost an hour each day giving me less time to actively play.
Nevertheless some benefits heavily outweigh any active game play I couldt possibly pursue in that time.
The right station of your toons is really tricky there even if u can travel fast while map loading screens can cut some of your time off.
OP gave me to think by the way. 7 of my toons will remain stationed around mine while 2 will be close to a security officer.
Contraband has massively built up here. Marauding assignments still run like crazy.

Ah, I understand.
My mistake then.. thank you for the clarification.

There is no transwarp cost for unlocked transwarp options, like the ones unlocked for Diplomacy or Marauding commendation levels or those from Rep tier unlocks, only for episode transwarps.
Unfortunatly they have a 10 minutes CD time or so.
If you log a toon only 3mins/day to doff its not available for half a week after using it.

Thank you for all your replies. I have 6 kdf alts which mass get and turn in contraband. Transwarp, even with a purple doff still has a 4m cd, which would mean another 15-20 mins approx. I'd have to be online per run, so that is not feasible on a daily basis. I am hopeful that if it is being fixed on tribble, it will soon be fixed on holodeck, I live in hope anyway. For time being, I think I will keep them there, until I need to feed a base doffs anyway.

When you're cycling multiple alts through doffing, multiple times a day? Any seconds added to the process are an issue.
(Also, the transwarp cost actually registers for people who don't make millions of ec every time they blink. :P)
