This ship is...... really a departure from the horseshoe crab reminiscent design of the D'Kora.
I managed to try and trace and profile of the ship and..... well, man I dunno, it's like a crazy manta ray or something.

I dunno, maybe I'm not seeing all the details since it's a pretty hazy screen cap. I'm just.... still processing this still I guess.

Not a bad shape I could fly that. Glad they didn't just copy the old ship from Enterprise.

Oh that thing never had a chance of being the Nandi. It was way too small. It always struck me as the Ferengi equivalent to a runabout or some other small exploratory craft.

Depends on where's the front. If it's like this, it'd have the general shape of the D'kora (though it'd admittedly look like part warbird, part D'Kora, due to the curves rather than some hard angles).

If the front is this way, then it does look like a manta ray.

One thing's for sure; this better have GPL plated walls and floors and latinium thread (like actual smelted gold spun into thread) curtains and seat coverings.

Considering it seems to have the same forward facing weapons blisters shaped like pincers, or claws, and the same wide-spaced prong arrangement as the D'Kora does, it's a pretty safe bet that we're seeing a 1/3rd angled forward view of the Nandi warship.

its another escort from the looks of it, what a waste. and its inspiration looks like it came from a drazi sunhawk on b5.
    T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW.

    That's kind of disappointing.

I would have expected something used by a Nagus would be cruiser-sized, with luxury suites (translating in-game as a modern D'Kora-like interior with Dabo, Exchange, and other Vendors).

Actually, it seems to be a Destroyer, not an Escort. Destroyers are essentially more tanky Escorts.
Though the stats are all.... over the place, wow. It seems like it's maneuverable, but also a pretty decent size (at 300 crew, it should be). And it has a lot of emphasis on enhanced shielding systems.
And it's..... wow, that's a very strange set of BOff seats. I mean, it at least seems to have more Science capability than the D'Kora, but also Pilot BOff powers. I wonder if this means it'll also have Pilot Maneuvers? That'd be interesting.
This ship sounds so strange. Definitely not a D'Kora, that is for sure.
Gonna grind for this thing for sure.

a destroyer huh? a small frigate with more killing power? you do know destroyers are escorts right? :P

Well in this game they're usually fat escorts with less turning more durability. Thats what they called the Chel Grett, and thats what they're calling this thing (which is basically a T6 Chel Grett anyways), so at least they're being consistent.

It's kind of curious, note it's on Tribble so subject to change - they haven't given us the stats in a blog yet...but yeah, it's kind of curious.

    X

    X, X
    P, P, P
    X, X

    U

13 BOFF abilities as expected on a T6/FT6 ship...but...6 BOFFs.

Can compare it to the Chel Grett: http://sto.gamepedia.com/Breen_Chel_Grett_Warship (includes info on the FT5U upgrade on the page if one scrolls down)

And also the Veteran Ships are classified as Destroyers, as well as the Dyson Ships.
Though the Nandi seems to be tossing that "less turning" out the window in that it seems to have access to Pilot BOff powers and might have Pilot Maneuvers as a result.

I'm not happy that the console is only usable on the 2 Ferengi ships, considering the Samsar's console is wholly universal.

So much for my PartGen Sci being able to use that on his Pathfinder. :(

The Dyson Science Destroyers are Science Vessels...including the Science Mastery when taken to FT5U. Still don't know why STOwiki has them listed under Destroyers.

Can't see the Nandi having pilot maneuvers. Doesn't say anything about them in the info from the Event Store/Account Reclaim.

Along the lines of the various ships that have Specialization hybrid seats but are not Specialization ships (most of the T6 boats).

No more different than the Risian Consoles not usable anywhere outside the Risian ships. That set BEGS for use on a Science Vessel. Which was why I hoped the Summer Event ship would be a Risian SCI Vessel.

I'd be extremely surprised if this had pilot maneuvers, as those are the defining characteristic of the full-fledged pilot ships. Sarr Theln didn't get any of the cloaking or fancy-sensor stuff despite being the Intel event ship. Samsar didn't get the Inspiration mechanic. None of the lockbox ships got any of the special mechanics, not even the Sheshar. I don't see why they'd go against precedent now, particularly when doing so would hurt sales of Pilot packs.

Just because the ship has limited access to Pilot BOFF abilities doesn't mean it has Pilot Maneuvers. The recent Xindi Escort doesn't.

The other Non-Full Specialization ships like Guardian, Matha, Aehlal, Samsar (Both versions), etc. that don't have Full Cmdr Hybrid Stations do not have the special features of the Full Specialization ships. They don't have Gather Intel, nor the Inspiration mechanics.

As far as the stats of the ship goes, it's on the light side of survivability. This T6 ship is very close in layout and playstyle like the old T5 Escorts with minimal ENG stations. The Ensign Universal is a false choice. It really needs to be ENG or you're going to have some disparity, gaps. It won't have the immense luxury of Pilot Maneuvers to bail it out of trouble. Still, I can see some nice things to do with that BOFF layout. But one has to be on their A-Game to survive in this thing.

oops i jumped the gun...So effectively this ship has no benefit at all to the new pilot ships? there must be something that enhances something for pilot ships?? the trait perhaps? something... "looking desperate while typing on the keyboard" lol

oops i jumped the gun...So effectively this ship has no benefit at all to the new pilot ships unlike the samsar's console for command ships.

The upcoming Profit Ship's has 2 good features.

8 weapon slots, which most Escorts, T5 or T6, do not have.

SciScort BOFF & Console Layout, which some will really like. But you may have that already with the SCI Pilot Ship.

I think of it as a slightly tweaked but a T6 version of the T5U Breen Chell Grett. They're very close to each other in general style, minus the Ferengi ship's boosts from being a T6 ship.

But as far as taking something from this ship and having it of use for your Pilot Ship, no, I don't see anything useful so far. The trait is not useful for most Pilot Ship builds out there. However, the ship *IS* free, provided you do the dumb grind like the rest of us.

Lastly, this thing will fly VERY differently if people are expecting this ship to fly like a Pilot Ship. It's going to be the polar opposite as far as the entire family of Escorts go in flight behavior.
