...and so the wait and lack of responses from the Cryptic (or should this type of behavior justify the name "Craptic"?) end of things goes on. Have tried to mention this in other threads and it seems they are just hoping we go away at this point.

It's again just evidence of poor customer service. I don't know who is responsible, but the buck has to stop at management. QA is overwhelmed. Why? Not enough, or efficient enough resources. Management. Customer service is amazingly bad. I've spent a pretty penny in this game and they still don't care. Incredibly slow, or no communication. Just ignore you. I am a patient guy, but nothing screams "we don't care about your business with us" more than completely ignoring a big damage bug on a ship for 6 months (except for the way they have almost completely ignored the pvp'r community). Management.
Seems greedy to me. Less salaries make the game more money in the short term, but lose reputation and good, paying players in the long.
Another 9 new ships coming soon to spend money on, but still no fix on this orb weaver issue. Guess who will not be buying these 9 new ships when they are released? Why should I spend more money on ships that may be bugged on release and might never get fixed? Sad part was the Orb Weaver was fine until the T5U thing came about and screwed us all over, but I guess we are just supposed to stay bent over because we have chosen to play KDF instead of only Feds like Geko wants...

Zero customer service offered for paying customers. Cryptic is in the wrong here for a broken product, and then they ignore us. It would be so easy to take care of us, but they refuse to bother. Refuse to take care of customers who support their product. Too busy not giving a TRIBBLE.
Think you got the answer we've all been waiting for: there is not going to be any fix for existing KDF players with this issue. I nicely asked a dev in another thread to please revisit this issue and was accused of "high jacking" that thread, so I guess I was supposed to shut up about it already.
As to your ticket being closed and you being informed that the issue was resolved, well, that has happened to me for every single ticket I've submitted over the past 5.5 years in this game. Well, guess that is not quite accurate, there were a couple of times when they just completely wiped all my outstanding bug tickets without ever responding to them directly...
This is not only singlehandedly one of the most impressive collaborative efforts I've ever seen to keep a thread rolling, it's one of the most depressing things I've seen about the state of the game (outside of the Lag Trek Online videos). I hope you guys get your SA soon.

Huh. How'd I miss this thread. Qorroth@kasandaro has the same bug, for what it's worth. It was doubly infuriating when the DSDs were broken too. At least those got fixed (probably because it was a single fix across factions).
Ah, well. It's not as if a spacefaring military society needs cutting edge science to maintain their supremacy, right?
The root issue was fixed, but we still need a programmer to make a fix-up for those of you affected before the fix was made, and that slipped through the cracks. I've made sure the producers and software team are aware of this issue.
I'm sorry this happened. Testing on other issues has kept me from being able to consistently monitor the Bug forum, or I might have caught this earlier. In any case, I'm doing what I can to help get this fixed.

thanks, it's often difficult, from a customer perspective, to understand what challenges you guys face
it's not even the greatest ship in the world, though it is cool (I mean tholians!!! oldschool!!!, right?), it's just a tough thing to take on a lobi/lockbox ship, which are pretty expensive, compounded by the difficulty understanding (from a customer perspective) how something could be fixed yet not fixed.
very much appreciate the info
EDIT: imho, take your time with a good fix, nothing worse that a fix that needs a fix

Since you are apparently new to this ongoing issue, your "edit" is exactly what they already did, and decided to forget about the actual fix for the rest of us. Please consult the release notes from Feb. 19, 2015:
"Resolved and issue that would prevent Klingon players who upgrade a Tholian Orb Weaver to T5U from getting Sensor Analysis and correct mastery abilities.
This fix will be applied for all Tholian Orb Weavers upgrading to T5U going forward.
There will be a fix for current owners experiencing this issue in a future update."
So for those of us who've been concerned about this for over half a year, we are still waiting on them doing it right, I guess this would be on the 3rd go round at this point.

perhaps again 6-7 months? and then again a message here we are working on the issue ?
sorry but in most other MMOs, there are at least 2-3 weeks for a fix if they really are interested in solving problems which apparently is not the the case here
You will not be disappointed by what another does or does not do, but only at your own stupidity, to have expected anything else.

While it is nice to see you acknowledge that you "forgot" about this issue, I see from the most recent release notes no mention of this getting fixed yet. Several of us have been trying to keep this thread going for quite some time now so that it would not be forgotten as is was, so any chance we could get a possible time frame on this fix? 7 months now and counting for an item that we did purchase from you people at Cryptic, I believe we are entitled (and yes, I specifically chose this word) in this case to at least a bit of accountability for this "oversight" on your part.

I'm really hoping this gets fixed this week. Thursday will be one day shy of 7 months waiting for a fix to our lock box ship. 7 months for sensor analysis to be repaired. Crossing fingers, but not holding breath.

Good idea on not holding your breath. Vague promises and then platitudes have still not changed the fact that our ships are broken and nothing has been attempted to rectify things with the affected members of the playerbase. We have T6F ships now, meanwhile we are waiting for a fix to a T5U, guess our continuing to complain in this thread might show them that we think they should be accountable, but more likely they are wondering why we have not just been throwing more money at them for T6F ships by now...here's a hint Cryptic, we have no T6(F) KDF/Rom science ships, so where should we be throwing our money?

If the number of players affected isn't too high, why not use the suggestion of giving out a new boxed orb weaver? Yes, some might sell theirs, but after waiting almost 7 months for a fix that doesn't seem unreasonable.
(I don't have one myself. I was about to buy one for my Romulan science captain when I saw this thread.)

A fix is included in the current tribble notes, but will need to wait and see once it goes live.
Just want to toss out a thank you to everyone who supported the fix. I am now sporting sensor analysis on my orb weaver. Happy day!
Special thanks to Xablis for keeping this issue up on multiple threads including this one. This thread is over 7 months old and that takes teamwork. I think he's a big reason this finally got fixed.
Thanks to devs for fixing.
Thank the maker this is my last appearance in this thread.
Nice to finally see this fixed! However, I am quite bothered by the fact that this took over 7 months to happen when after it was "remembered" that this problem was still around it only took a couple of weeks to fix it on tribble and then another week to get it live. Do you Devs happen to work for the US Dept of Veteran's Affairs? This behavior reminds me very much of my 20+ years of dealing with the VA in exactly the same manner, keep delaying things and hope the affected people just go away or die before they get in for treatment...
