Since we are now aware that the Iconians fled to the Andromeda Galaxy after their empire collapsed, I can't help but wonder if the Kelvans ever encountered them over the years. It is also mentioned that the Kelvans began evacuating their galaxy due to rising radiation levels within the Andromeda galaxy, which would make the entire galaxy eventually uninhabitable. Is this merely a coincidence? Or could the Iconians have some sort of hand in these rising radiation levels?

Wait, not those Kelvans?
You could have Iconian star systems within your space for millennia and never notice, because they don't send ships flying about between places and their colonies are invisible if you're not right on top of them. Assuming the Iconians weren't looking to conquer Andromeda - and they might well not have been; a single sphere is worth a galaxy of planets - they and the Kelvans could invisibly coexist quite easily.
USS Kelvin, not Kelvans. actually, that was a pretty good inside joke.
Calamari?
