What happened to the Kelvans?

Since we are now aware that the Iconians fled to the Andromeda Galaxy after their empire collapsed, I can't help but wonder if the Kelvans ever encountered them over the years. It is also mentioned that the Kelvans began evacuating their galaxy due to rising radiation levels within the Andromeda galaxy, which would make the entire galaxy eventually uninhabitable. Is this merely a coincidence? Or could the Iconians have some sort of hand in these rising radiation levels?

In my view the Kelvans are as important to the Star Trek universe as Weequays in Jabba's Palace
    are to Star Wars.

Its gets way to complicated with these jokers.

A few of us were kind of talking about them at the end of March.

Perhaps more people will notice this thread and offer more and different insights on the subject.

Didn't Spere of Influence mention them indirectly? It said there was a gateway in the Andromada Galaxy that was closed due to the war over there.

The Iconians build and live in Dyson spheres, and use gateways to travel from one place to another. They're "dark" - the spheres absorb the whole energy output of both the stara they are built around and the civilizations inside them, keeping them invisible in pretty much all ways except gravity.

You could have Iconian star systems within your space for millennia and never notice, because they don't send ships flying about between places and their colonies are invisible if you're not right on top of them. Assuming the Iconians weren't looking to conquer Andromeda - and they might well not have been; a single sphere is worth a galaxy of planets - they and the Kelvans could invisibly coexist quite easily.

Actually, IIRC, it mentioned that the gate network in Andromeda was already active before you messed with things.
