Pilot Rom Warbirds look ugly

avengerkid1993avengerkid1993 Member Posts: 323 Arc User
As bluegeek suggested, I opened a thread here:

The point was that rom pilot ships don't look good.
Their design is trivial and approximate (its not easy to notice this from the screen you posted in Z-Store): THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE THE WONDOWS (and in Z-Store screens they had them).

now: I'd like to let you know I spent 6000 zen to buy them, and I am really disappointed cause I like to fly good-looking ships.

I don't want my money back, but please fix them: we paid for starships.
I made a picture to give you some ideas (I don't want credits or anything for this, its all free xD)

1 - Double the size of the ship.

2 - Curve downward the wings along the lines 1 and 2 (about 30 degrees).

3 - Split those wings along the lines in 1 and 2 (about 30 degrees).

4 - Add two BIG Bird_of_Prey like nacellas in 3 and 4.

5 - Add two BIG Ha'Feh like impulse engines in 5 and 6.

6 - Add the windows.

7 - Add some green/red lights here and there.

7 simple steps to improve the design (as I said before, I spent 6000 Zen to but them ... if you don't like my suggestions, at least do something by yourselfs ... but fix their look: they're really ugly :(

I was just commenting to my Fleet that all the new Rom ships are look more and more like something a Xindi Insectoid would fly.

I associate Romulans with smooth, sleek lines,... heavy on refinement and "sciency" type motifs,... the new Romulan Pilot ships DO NOT strike me as that,...

Spec wise, their awesome. Just did 3 Undine BZ runs in my Fed pilot ship. Lovin' the performance, just don't like the aesthetics.

Yeah, I don't expect anything from them, but I wanted to let them know that their designers should be fired.
Its not acceptable to create a stupid metal fly and pretending it to be starship ... kids would do a better work -_-

And yeah, I fully agree with corelogic

I have to disagree. The Khaiell has definite design influence from the Dhelan. And I see the Jaeih as a Reman design as it seems sort of Scimitar inspired.

I have to agree with baddmoonrizin - I know I've said before that the Pilot Warbirds have a strong Reman feel, which I consider a good thing as the Remans need more representation in the Republic as a faction; it's supposed to be 'Romulans and Remans working together', but it still has an overwhelming Romulan influence, so some more ships with the angles and such of Reman ships instead of the smooth lines of Romulan ones is a good thing...

Besides which, go find a picture of an F117 'Nighthawk' stealth fighter and compare it to the Pilot Warbirds, especially the Jaeih class, I'm noticing definite similarities between them...

^Words that every player should keep in mind, especially whenever there's a problem with the game...

To fire a long time artist because you don't like the look of a ship.

Either Nabreeki has lowered the standards for new fleet members or we need an intelligence test for some people before they can post.

Yes, firing is a bit extreme. After all, we're talking about aesthetics here. Not every car design on the road appeals to everyone. As it would be with starship design.

The funny part is that all these people who talk about respect are the one who don't respect anyone.

Yeah, firing was too extreme, I was angry and disappointed, I was wrong.
    Forgive me :p
