Some Stay On Target questions...

Stay On Target

After reaching level 5 in the Mercury, Kortar or Okhala class Pilot ship’s starship mastery, you will unlock the Stay On Target starship trait. While this trait is slotted, keeping your current target in your forward 90 degree arc causes your ship to autofire a microtorpedo every few seconds.

In no particular order (just a case of having this open for a bit as they come to me)...

1) Affected by or triggers Projectile Weapon Officers (Shield Power or Reduction)?
2) Triggers 1s CD on other Torpedoes?
3) Consumes Torpedo Weapon Enhancements (High Yield, Spread, Transport)?
4) Able to Exploit Torpedo Exposes (Expose Weakness/Violent Detonations)?
5) Triggers Tachyon Charges?
6) Triggers Destabilized Emitters?
7) Works with Omega Kinetic Shearing?
8) Affected by Kinetic Precision?
9) Can proc Omega Graviton Amplifier?
10) Can trigger Intimidating Strikes?
11) Benefits from Intense Focus?
12) Benefits from Enhanced Armor Penetration?
13) Benefits from Intelligence Fleet?
14) Triggers Fluidic Cocoon?
15) Benefits from the Armor Penetration from Harmonic Resonance Relay?
16) Triggers Multidimensional Wave-Function Analysis Module?
17) Affected by Starship Weapon Training/Starship Projectile Weapons/Starship Projectile Weapons Specialization?
18) Boosted by Specific or Generic Tactical Consoles?
19) Benefits from gear or gear set boosts to Torpedo/Projectile damage?
20) Affected by "All Damage" boosts?
21) Benefits from the increased Shield Penetration from a Beam Overload Energy Weapons Officer?

...and er, yeah, that's more than some. If I think of more, er, I'll add them in. :o

    ^^ya what he said. God if I had the money or in game dil resources I'd be all over them, but at these dil to zen prices I am hard pressed to afford just half of one lol. :(

    Gorngonzolla's answered a couple in the main thread there, so I've updated the OP with those answers. As I come across any answers there or folks drop answers here, I'll try to remember to continue updating the OP there.

    just sell all your zen now, then buy back in a few weeks with profit.

    I knew using Kinetics would be playing the game on hard mode, but what I didn't realize was how bad the deck is stacked against Kinetics.

    That's why you grind the dil and convert all of it long before the release of the ships. I mean, it's not like we didn't know for months that these ships would come...

    Heh, I'm more of a shopper than a tester...it's a case of looking for some answers on things before I decide whether to bother thinking about getting the Kortar just for the trait. The ships themselves don't interest me in the least, and it would just be like my grabbing the Phantom - was just for a trait. Thinking it's just going to be...something...and not really something. So already feeling the rainy day thing just to pass.

    I think microtorpedoes behave the same as Ferengi missiles, and they already don't trigger many of those, if any. It's like they don't even count as torpedo launchers.

    So I was looking through my DOFFs when I noticed I had one I hadn't noticed before, doh.

    Ultra Rare Projectile Weapons Officer
    20% chance: +5% Kinetic Damage Bonus with Torpedoes for 15 sec (can stack 3 times)

    And wondering if Stay On Target would count for that, eh?

    Still, have the feeling that Stay On Target's simply not counted as a weapon so it wouldn't be.
    Virus, there's an UR version as well.

    Yep, didn't realize that...but yeah, Kelti's UR and not VR.

    Guess I need to look through Bort's infodump on those.

    What interactions if any does it have with command skills such as Concentrate Firepower?

    I'm not buying a ship at this time, so I have to rely on others running tests w/ me to be able to collect and analyze the data.

    I would figure viral torp trait would work the same for either of those.. shooting at multiple targets and passing along the viral proc to all


    not so scary on the akira or the fed/klink pilot ships... but on the romulan pilot one, you could fire then battlecloak.. swap the console for a copy of the console, wait the 30 seconds, and then uncloak barrage again...

    Wow.. that is extremely tempting to find out(Been saving for the Sheshar, so the Benthan is easily within my budget). However, I don't think the TPDS is treated like a "torpedo attack". I have never seen it trigger Kemocite Laced Weaponry, nor do I think I have seen it trigger PWO cooldown reductions.

    Kind of disappointed to hear Stay on Target may not proc torpedo cooldown reductions from the sounds of things(anyone willing to test that?), but that is pretty interesting if the Tactical Console has normal weapon interactions.
