Customizable Ship Armaments....

We have access to every ship in the game but we have no control over its armament.

It'd be cool if we could customize the armament of ships,both ally and enemy, similar to the skill planner on STO Academy. You could give a federation ship MACO Shields with Dyson Weaponry.

Another cool thing would be a Allegiance option. One would be ally, and next would be enemy. You could switch between the two during the story, for an easier ally to enemy transition.

    From what I understand NPC ships don't function like player ships. They have to be scripted to make use of their powers. Plus, they need to be able to scale with level.

    You wouldn't decide what Mk weapons they have, they'd level with the player.

    If only...

    I'd love it if you could choose armament for ships in the Foundry. It'd make using unique ships easier, as well as a better ability to set up ships for alien species. It could also be applied to ground NPCs.

    However, that kind of tech might be difficult to implement or have time allocated to, like the tech from Neverwinter being ported over. I don't know exactly how difficult it would be to implement or have time allocated to, but it's probably extremely not likely...
