They've been sitting there... in the game files... for years now, hidden from public view.

Well not really hidden from public view, those of us that tested LoR got to see the wonderful MACO Ent outfits in the character creator...

Outfits seem to have fallen to wayside as of late, that use to be a decent thing to see new costumes being added all the time...

I am still waiting for Romulans to get their Nemesis Uniforms which I figured would be an obvious costume option for us to purchase after LoR hit but erm...nope....

Like most all other costume/tailor options. Unfortunately.

Heck; you can access a portion of them via Foundry creation.

More were accessed when the tailor bugged and let practically everything be available (and was subsequently patched the times it happened; with only those who haven't changed their character or Boffs since then able to keep the changes).

Which is frankly disappointing. I mean; most of them have been redone to work with their new body slider system (all the NPCs use the same slider system; which resulted in a few funny NPCs for awhile after that overhaul went live). At worst, they just need some tweaking so that they don't cut or disappear under skin or other parts or HD skinning.

I don't see why Cryptic hasn't monetized that side of the game and release more costume packs. Even for 550 or in large costume bundles.

The same applies to some ship skins; the Faeht originally released with the lovely Mirror Romulan skin (which my original Faeht still has) rather than the Romulan Brown, despite there being no Mirror Romulan Faeht. There's the Mirror Odyssey skin as well. Then certain datamining sites were able to see/use properly skinned faction material skins on non-faction ships.

There's a whole bunch of things Cryptic could make some easy money off of, at prices players are more willing to pay, trickling in between ship releases, but nope. It's been a long time since we got any actual C-Store costume or skin. Heck, Cryptic could charge us Dil, Marks, and XP to unlock Reputation ship skins like we do for ground rep equipment skins. But 7 Reputations in, STILL NOTHING. I'd pay for Obelisk/DSD skin on my faction ships (it's different enough from the Dyson Shield skin), or the Mirror skins for all my lackluster KDF and Rom ship choices, .

Anyone who says STO excels at Star Trek Barbie is lying. Cryptic has one of the worst available character customization options when it comes to attire. Ships aren't much better either. Come on Cryptic, I implore you to give us more ship skins and character attire. Take my 550 Zen. My 1100 Zen. I'll buy them in bundles even. You'll sell more than just saturating the market with ships. Much of the works is already done; it's just a matter of coding in the means to allow players to unlock them; either via Reputation or C-Store.

Before they go adding new outfits, I'd like them to fix the crashing on save at the tailor first,...

After that, then, yes. Add all the new outfits,... the more the merrier,... oh, and more boot choices for Klingons. And D'kTags,... and Mek'leth's.

I need some Jedi robes to go with my light-Bat'leth. :)
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

Well the best reply I can give you on this is...

It may happen, but before it does you have to make your request in the CORRECT place. Try posting it here http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=89087 this is the actual OFFICIAL costume request thread!
