Dyson Joint Command set. Change weapon to Polaron or add more Proton weapons

The Counter Command Ground set boosts Phaser and Disruptor Damage, really useful for all Phaser and disruptor weapons ftom TOS phasers to Biomatter Rifles, The Romulan Imperial Navy kit boosts Plasma Damage.

The Dyson Set increases Proton Damage but we only have one real Proton Rifle in the game: the Dyson Rifle. even the Dyson Rep. Store weapons deal Polaron Damage (with a Protonproc okay bunt only 25% for a crit hit). So that set is only good for that exact weapon and no others gain any benefit?

So why not change the Damage type (not the proc, the 25% chance for extra damage, or the visuals) to Polaron and change the 2 piece bonus so that the set does increase Polaron damage. From Jem Hadar over Thoron to Vaadwaur Polarons all weapons would benefit from that.

Or add more Proton Rifles and weapons.THey should look like the Experimental proton Rifle. Full-Auto, Splitbeam, High Density, Pulsewave, Minigun, Assault ...

    Both are good options, either or both could be done.

    - Make the +dmg be Proton AND Polaron
    - Offer more Proton weapons

    The first choice seems easier for the devs to do.

    I personally would love to have proton cannons or beams added. as the dyson ships have a non removable proton weapon it would be nice to have a proton only ship. since you can only get the experimental proton weapon as an extra you end up missing out on at least 5-6 weapon slots as proton only, as the grav torp is part of the set bonus.

    Please do not add more proton weapons unless you add proton to the armour consoles...

    Dyson Rep, Command, and Ships are now "old."

    I wouldn't expect anything in regards to Dyson; Cryptic's made their cash off of that theme and there's not much else to be had, as far as they're concerned.

    Just look at how long it took them to fix the Commander slot on the Dyson ships; a bug that left them unplayable for months.

    I agree they should done a proton set not a hybrid set from that Rep. This is why I didn't get those space weapons. I just got the rifle and moved on. Other than the shield so when you kneel it would show up. That does help with some damage you getting.

    I like the proton heavy cannons. They look funky.

    Quite frankly there's so much advanced tech flying around there's no need for proton weapons to be "experimental" anymore.

    The lack of an armour console against it could cause issues but saying that I havent heard of anyone using damage specific consoles for a long time. Its all about the neutronium.

    Very true on this. I don't use specific weapon armor. I use netronium or something that protects nearly all the weapon types.
