After upgrading my romulan repeater pistol to level 14, its great in BHE.
Tac toon has to be my favourite for this, as they can use grenades and do flying kicks at the targets.

Sorry but the romulan repeater is even worse than a Pulsewave rare mk X critDx2.
In case you haven't noticed this isn't Alien Online
Again it doesn't belong in a game like this.
Does anyone really care at that point? I am fully expecting MACO camouflage uniforms and the machine guns from first contact (the one lilly sues to shoot data) to be released so we can all runa round shouting "Yes sir, GOGOGO" whenever an ability is activated. Because it would sell like crazy.

Yeah the whole "The game is already ruined why not make it worse?" attitude isn't going to bode well, you know as well as I do Cryptic is not going to implement 21st century balistic weapons to appeal to the Call of Duty fanboys.

Did you see the 21st century shotgun coming?

just want a pistol and full auto-rifle version of the tr116b......
The last thing we need is more OP stuff to break ground combat even further.
It's bad enough that all other sniper rifles were made obsolete by the 116 rifle. It should never have been released, at least not in it's current form where it has literally no disadvantages compared to other sniper rifles. That's just poor game design.
If they're ever going to release more of that shield ignoring cr*p they might as well remove all other full auto rifles and pistols from the game.
That is very true however, that is really in my eyes more of a novelty weapon.
And it was an item to celebrate First contact day as it kind of belonged to the man who achieved warp travel and started the sequence of events that led to the federation being created
.
A pulse M4R5T (or whatever it's called) rifle isn't cannon and has no significance in Star Trek Lore people only want it to act out their COD fantasies.

It might be a novelty weapon but so widely avialable that basically everyone got it and it has replaced every weapon (aside from the TR-116 maybe) in ground STFs, at least Borg STFs ever since. I don't know wether the three people playing ground PvP use it as well.
In my opinion, Cryptic shows a certain desperation to get players on board, no matter what. Aside from the Omega force armours and equipment not a single item seems like it would "belong" in a Star Trek game and aside from the Delta rifle nothing of it is canon anyway. Cryptics approach at original content seldomly honours the original content rather than borrow visuals from completely unrelated franchises because those are "cooler" (a reddit posting by one of the ship designers back when the intel ships were released basically said that young people do not recognize or do not care about Star Trek visuals anymore, hence they "borrow" elsewhere on purpose).
I fully expect ballistic machine guns at one point. I don't want them, but I expect them. Regarding things that would "belong" there, For four years I regularily keep asking why we don't even have the full line-up of canon weaponry in the game and people asked that question before I joined and we never got a response, to my knowledge.

Yes but differing from original Star Trek Design doesn't mean taking a Step Backwards, and yes the MACO and Counter Command gear aren't traditional but they are made to fit the story line STO has taken MACO is canon to the series, Counter Command was made to combat the Undine advance ect...
I mean 21st Century weapons and uniforms wouldn't just be out of place they would make absolutely no sense, yes you might point me to the playable Undine ships but even that can be explained with Star Trek Lore such as the star creature Gantu in "Tin Man" that was a Biological space faring organism that had an internal layout that was made to support a humanoid crew exactly like the Undine Bioships.
You might be right they might introduce an entire arsenal based on 21st century weapons but that doesn't mean I can't dislike it.

Isn't the TR-116B basically a modless weapon against shieldless targets?
This is my Risian Corvette. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

No. It's not modless. The basic weapon has the [Dmg] modifier. When upgraded it gains other modifiers.
And even if it didn't have any other modifiers than the shield penetration, the shield penetration would still make it op compared to other sniper rifles against any enemy higher than ensign level.

I would love to see this. Just a few days ago I was thinking about the same thing. Would love to see some of those crazy (human-eras-resembling) TOS planets/species being implemented, maybe as patrol planets. Nice little side-quest, if you will. And yes, with Tommy guns, cowboy rifles and Napoleon-era shooters (and maybe outfits, too). Only usable on those special maps, of course. Would be a great addition and soo damn canon.

Ah, ah very agree with this. I love you.
In the most platonic way possible, of course.

Your science fiction lore skills are fail. The M41a is from the movie Aliens. Which makes it automagically even more suitable for use in BHE hehe.
They make a wondrous mess of things. Brave amateurs, they do their part.

116
or
m41a..
and by the way they had turret guns in aliens, never seen them in any ST show!!
also mini guns? they had them in ?
so cannon aside.
for me the M41a is vastly better than the 116.
