Share the Romulans Please.

STO should make it so that New Romulus Junior Officer Cadre should be able to be shared between a persons Romulan toons. I have a new Delta Recruit that is a Romulan, but it won't let me share the DOFFs from my other Romulan toon. Kinda lame really. Doesn't make any sense. :confused:

    Its probably because they are bound, slotting them to active space/ground will bind them to you which will make them unable to be traded, its also possible that said DOFF's come pre-bound, if you see an icon of a lock on them then they are bound and you can't trade them

    On surface, it may appear the Romulan are a faction. But in fact, when you choose fed or KDF as allies, for the game you become of that faction. With a different set of restriction, but not much.
    So if you are trading between a KDF rom and a fed rom it won't work, it's like trading between a fed and a kdf.

    As for trading amongst the same allied faction, it should work. Some of the reward are bound, but not all. For example the BOFF rewarded by the leveling mission are not.
    Doff from the same kind of mission are bound for the first, then they are not I think. It's a mixed bag, but I think that's because the first you have are not random but fixed. So you have a "proper" doff roster, and not 10 botanists or something.

    As a Romulan, you can do the Recruiting mission of the faction you're allied to and receive a Cadre that can be traded or sold. So as a Fed-Rom, you could receive the Federation Junior Officer Cadre and sell or trade it.

    It is a little strange that you can sell the KDF or Fed pack, but not the Romulan one. They should prevent Roms from doing the Fed or KDF mission and make the Romulan Pack able to be traded/sold.

    Yes, the Romulan Pack should be able to be traded and sold just as the Fed and KDF Cadre Packs should be.

    Note: for those who aren't catching it, we are talking about the DOFF Packs that you can get via a recruiting mission.

    The doffs you get from recruiting at the command center absolutely can be traded and sold. I do it all the time.

    If you !mean the "general recruitment" mission specofically, well, that one is a very inefficient way to spend 1,0000 dilithium. You will get more unbound doffs for less than the dilithium value if you buy a blue quality chef or bartender on the auctionhouse and downgrade him into a mix of green and white romulan doffs and email or sell those.

    Plus you can do this an infinite number of times, unlike the recruitment which is once per three days.
