I've been getting that too but only when I try to log into Tribble. The Live server I don't have any issues.

That's the message I keep getting.

Not sure if you are using ARC ... ARC and STO don't play nice together. Drivers get locked up.

And please mods, don't delete this sincere post again. Instead, please let us know what to do. Fixes would be appreciated.

Found a fix that just worked for me while checking some of the other forums. On the launcher go to options and start the game in safe mode. Then go full screen once it's launched. That worked for me.

Since about 4 AM EDT I've had the same issue, with both tribble and holodeck, since the preupdate for season 10 started. The game will start loading, get to the delta rising screen and then suddenly cut out. Please advise.

Thanks for the constructive input, Caspr!
When the maintenance period is finished in about an hour, I'll give it a try!

This worked for me on Tribble but the graphics are horrible. I know it's safe mode but still... Submitted a support ticket.

More info. Once I got in on tribble using safe mode I went to the graphic options and reselected my graphics card. It was running on the integrated intel HD graphics which was why the quality is bad. Probably the same thing that's happening to you jojo. Anyway it required a restart so closed out the game and then restarted tribble (not in safe mode, just regular) and now it's working perfectly. Be prepared to sit on the Star Trek Online Delta Rising screen for several minutes while it resets. Also just select your graphics card and don't mess with any of the sliders before you do the reset.

Just a little correction. Graphics card option is under the display tab. It's the first thing.

I tried that, it wouldn't let me selct my graphics card, a Nvidia GForce, only giving me the option of the Intel Integrated card with three DirectX options

Sorry that didn't work for you jojo.:( Sadly that's all I've got left in my limited bag of tricks for this kind of thing. Maybe the others will have better luck.

As an update I got it working, what I had to do was change my Nvidia global settings to prioritize the Nvidia video card. Then had to restart Arc completely.

Just tried logging into Holodeck, couldn't even log in with safe mode. Getting a similar error message. Updated ticket, but now apparently more people are experiencing the issue. There's a new thread.

Using the above fix I was able to log in once with Safe Mode and once with Regular Mode, then the error messages came back.

I have a solution to this problem for nVidia users! I just came across this after having 3 days of down time in STO. This has to do with the Cuda Cores on the Geforce Control Panel. Disabling these cuda cores fixed the problem for me. I had three different erroes. D3D11 Device Removed. D3D11 Creating Vertex Buffer. And D3D11 Error creating 1x1x1 mips .

nVidia Control Panel > 3D Settings > Manage 3D Settings > CUDA GPU's set to NONE

I'm not sure why this would cause a problem, but it did fix it for me. I just hope that this fixes it for more people. SPREAD THE WORD IF IT WORKS FOR YOU!!!! I have seen many posts about this problem. Get the fix around.

By the way, I AM NOT A DEV. Just someone who wants to see this game function correctly from now on

Still not working! Earlier someone asked if I was using ARC. Which I am. Is there another way to launch the game?

You can launch it straight from the directory of installation without arc running.

What video card are you using?

    What are your system specifications?

I'm having the same problems but only on my laptop. My desktop computer works fine. Strangely, it only seems to occur on my three level 60 characters. I have three lower level characters and can log in and play them just fine.

The only way I'm able to get in on my higher level characters is by using safe mode and even then, the game crashes after a few minutes. I've tried changing from "auto" in display to my specific graphics card. I've tried DX9 instead of DX11. Nothing seems to work. I've verified all my files too.

This started last week. I was playing a level 60 character and got disconnected. Since then, I get as far as the character selection screen and the game crashes to desktop as soon as I try to load in. Again, safe mode gets me in but only for about a minute before the CTD.
