Non-combat zones

Okay. I can understand that the academy is considered a combat zone during events, but seriously when are we going to get rid of abilities in non-combat zones? This event is attracting a lot of players, many of which are total trolls.

Sure, there's ways to get to a bank, exchange and mail in the first city, but do we really need players to be able to block others to begin with? I know you can make cover shields decay in certain zones, why not make it happen on non-combat ones?


EDIT: I'm removing the link. However, I would recommend submitting a ticket to CS if you haven't done that already. Setting up Cover Shields to block access is definitely against ToS. ~Bluegeek

    my ferasan can just jump over those...

    but... just click on them and select report and move on... or switch instance...

    Naming and shaming isn't allowed including when you do it by posting a screenshot with someones character/fleet name clearly visible. All your doing is getting yourself frustrated when the mods do their jobs by editing your post.

    Well I don't normally even visit the forums, so yes. I forgot about the name rule, my point was simply that this is reoccurring on a daily basis since the event started. And to be honest, his account name or player name is irrelevant-Seeing how he's just 1 of many players who are making throwaway accounts to troll in this manner.

    By throwaway account I mean they'll make dozens of free accounts over and over, so reporting to remove them will never truly work.

    And if I thought that my report was going to be seen by anyone I would of simply left it as that. I feel that if there's a problem in the game that is reoccurring and solveable that players should be able to post and let the dev/moderators know, so they can fix it.

    Yes. You can even go to first city to completely avoid them. But how long are we suppose to have to "avoid" these cover shields when there are ways to completely remove the problem at hand. There was or maybe still is a borg ground stf that involved people stopping drones before they got to nodes. People exploited their pathing with cover shields, stopping the drones in their path. So the devs added a decay timer to the cover shields to make them completely unusable. With a covershield that lasts 3 seconds these will no longer be able to block anyone.

    There's also turning off kits/captain abilities in towns/non combat zones. Which I do belive in the past, has been done b4 as well. At least I remember the academey being unable to use kits/captain abilities b4, but I may be mistaken.
