Wasn't sure if this should go here or in crafting section, sorry if in wrong area.
With the whole Delta Recruit event I decided it was time to come back to STO and experience the story (and I have other ppl to play with now as well, which helps!)... and just looking at the rewards that can be unlocked as a delta recruit... and one of them has left me unsure as to which is better.
When you get a crafting school/skill to level 5 you can then boost 1 crafting school/skill up to level 10. However if all crafting skills are level 10 already, you'll get a large crafting xp pool instead.
I'm not sure which would be more valuable - being able to get 1 crafting school/skill to level 15 quicker (thus able to craft max gear faster, as well as get the trait for it faster)... or hold off and work on getting all crafting schools/skills to level 10 to get the large crafting xp pool instead.

By getting one school up to lvl 10 you unlock 3 or 4 (forget which, think its 4) R&D slots, with these slots you can lvl up faster. Still going to take a fair amount of time though.
The crafting pool xp is named with 100k, a school at 10 is 180k and doing so unlocked the 4th slot for me (named raise 3 schools to 5). So I would go with that again.

Level 10 upgrade it will be, seeing as that gives you ~180K xp vs 100K.
Cant really see any reason to take the boost if you have a school that You can boost from 0 to 10 instantlly.
Geting one school from 10 to 15 takes 450K exp, so the 100K boost seams nearlly irrelevant.
