New Energy Weapon Types

we have seen quite a few AP items lately, and as much of a fan of Disruptors that I am, I think they also have a plentiful variety as well.

I think a Destabalized Plasma would be cool. Red like Destabilized Plasma Torp, and the shield DoT of the Destabalized Tetryon. So hull & shield DoT.

Anyone else have some interesting ideas?

    I'd like to see energy types such as Dominion Polaron expanded in a full energy type with decent options at Mk XII Very Rare.

    Honestly, I'd have liked to have seen further expansion on the Proton weapon concept...

    It would have made particular sense with the Iconians/Heralds, as the Experimental Proton Weapon (from Dyson rep) was based on Dyson Sphere technology...

    Since the Dyson Sphere was constructed by one of the Iconians' servitor races (and I'm presuming is more advanced than Alpha/Beta Quadrant technology), it would have made sense that their other servitors would be using similar technologies, hence, Proton based weapons...
    The entitlement is strong in these forums...

    What about Positron weapons? We don't have those yet I think.

    New weapons? I think we're good on the types we have. Expanding existing? Proton definitely needs more than it's got now; where it's treated as a proper damage type elsewhere in the game, there should be options beyond a single rep weapon, a ship-fused cannon and 'tagging along' with polaron. A really close second in my book, though, is balancing the existing types. Antiproton is rightly regarded as a superior alternative, with some procs so low-value that there's little reason to use them. Phasers and tetryon have very limited applications, and it takes a dedicated effort to make polaron really work.

    Polaron + Jem'Hadar set (15% boost at Mk XII) + J'HAS/Galor = Win.

    Plasma Phasers.
    Starfleet was supposed to be developing them during TNG so it's about time they finish them.
    This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

    How about a Proc that has a chance to reduce Weapon power on ships utilizing AP weaponry, and a bonus to sub system targeting against weapons against AP.

    Polarized Protons would be a good energy type name to.
