Romulans and the Photonic Engineering Bridge Officer

A question for anyone in the know (or who has managed to get through the all the missions since Thursday)

In the Romulan faction, is the Photonic officer that comes with the Delta Recruit rep KDF/Starfleet only (like the Lobi store BOFFs), or is it actually a Romulan Faction Boff (Like the Reman Liberated Borg?)?

    KDF "alien" is what I got on my KDF allied Reman.

    my romulan captains (fed aligned) have earned a photonic boff with a fed uniform. i don't know if they can wear a romulan uniform because i don't use this boff

    Why would you not use it?

    I'm guessing the same reason I was wanting to know - if you want your Boffs to look alike you need them in a particular faction - if it's a KDF/Starfleet Boff, you get all of their customization options.

    I was hoping I'd get a proper Romulan Republic Photonic.

    The photonic boffs are some of the best for ground especially if you like playing on higher difficulties since they can't be injured. Although I can think of a couple I'd be willing to use over the photonics I usually take thew photonics.

    So what ones are you using instead?

    Photonic Boffs are good to have on an away team...

    Unless you're fighting Hirogen, or anyone using tetryon weapons. :P

    At least its one of the least used damage types on the ground.
