Delta Recruit System

I would like to see this system or one similar to it as a regular feature
for new recruits even after the Delta recruit promotion is over it just
makes sense when leveling a character. It is a better game with this system.

I agree. Minus the iconian tech stuff and maybe the fleet join bonus. The level up packs are great and the rewards for playing the story arcs are fantastic.

I think they should leave it as is and incorporate it into the game especially if the iconian part is
a build up to thier future role in the game. and the fleet reward pack yes it is a wonderful way paticularly for a genuinly "New Player" to get into the game. it's a great system and it makes leveling so much more enjoyable I have heard only good things about the system not including the bug reports, from other players.

Either leave it permanently up, though with lesser rewards, or have occasional 'Arc Replay Weeks' for existing characters.

The entire time I have played my Delta Recruit I have found myself thinking 'this is how it should always be when making a new character.'

The Delta Recruit system makes playing Alts actually rewarding. Something this game has been missing for quite a while now. They really should consider leaving this system permanently in place.
    Insert witty signature line here.

I agree with the above. Plus, it gave me a chance to replay the Romulan arc, which is pretty fun (minus the one or two sucky missions that seem standard per storyline). :)

When I began to play STO I wondered. So I am in command of a ship, a member of Starfleet or KDF, a sort of military organisation, yet I have to outfit my ship myself, make money by looting enemies. I know it is the common game system in any roleplaying game, but in this game it is awfully silly. Here is a mission. If you succeed, you get a new engine for your ship. The old one you may keep as reserve or sell, so you can spend the money on a holliday.

Playing the Delta recruits feels how it should be. First the equipment, then the action.

It's been some time since we had a replay week. We really need one for some of those old school items you can't get anymore. I think adding those to the episodes this time around would have done even more to get people playing episodes.

I do think the reward system for new recruits is a nice thing to have. It will help newer players level without too much struggle while still learning their class and how to use their abilities.
No, I am not who you think I am. I am someone different. I am instead a banana.

I like this new recruit system. It seems like a really good thing for new characters and something like it would be nice as a permanent fixture.

Perhaps, a faction specific version could be implemented to help new characters along.
