How do you disable friend logon/logoff fly-in messages?

I'm trying to turn off the messages that pop in across the screen when friends log in and out. I found controls for most other fly-inss under the Notification settings. I seem to remember there was a way to turn these off, but I can no longer find it. Does anyone know how to turn these off?

    Not sure, but if you can not deactivate it, maybe you can shove the UI element out of the way to the side of the screen where it's less distracting.

    Right click on Chat Tab, then on the right side unselect "Friend".

    Edit: nevermind the above sentence, misread that.

    I just want to get rid of the obnoxious "@spamthisguynow was just awarded a Jem'Hadar Strike Ship!" messages ...

    Friend/fleet stuff doesn't bother me.

    I found it: click the small icon on the lower right of the chat window, select "notification settings". There you can disable various Fly-Ins.

    Unfortunately that's the place I mentioned in my first post ;)

    It doesn't seem like friend notifications are one of them :(

    That one's easy. Click on the gear at the bottom right of chat, Notification Settings. Turn off Flyi-ins for Game Play Announcements.
