Any reason not to be a Delta Rom?

I guess I'll break down and make a recruit..what the heck.

Everyone keeps trying to decide between Fed and KDF but very few say Rom -is there any reason such as ship access or is that just personal preference these days.

I just can't make up my mind what to make and I may end up just flipping a coin for faction, race and career...

well I have no problem with being romulan in the delta content I have 2 infact (or i did cant remember if i deleted one)

anywho, the only thing i would say is be careful if your tac and going with a scimitar because they are glass cannons lol

I personally find that I survive much more with roms than I do feds and Klingons because of the Singularity powers but thats just me, Id honestly say its personal preferance nothing else.

Im sure someone will come along and say that roms suck because of A,B,C ETC but best thing for you to do is try it yourself :)

Just personal preferences. I am going to make a Rom-KDF faction Delta Recruit personally.

Tovan Khev... #1 reason. He just plain sucks.

#2 ties with fed for the most # of missions for storylines, thou better than Fed since it has more arcs so more loot for completing each arc.

#3 storyline also sucks and the writing is bland and forced... doesnt take into account your party/away teams and forces Tovan down your throat.

It's worth playing the updated Rom storyline at least once.

If you go Rom-KDF finding a fleet will be harder but you can get the Nuasican destroyer with plasmonic leech console.

Endgame you have less T6 ships than Fed but the same number as KDF. I happen to like the Mat'Ha escort more than the Faeht but that's because I've never gotten the hang of cloaking :)

I still need a Rom engineer to complete my captain set (3 faction) x (3 type) so I'll be creating one as my Delta Recruit.

    Hahahaha

Who knew just having a TRIBBLE means you're a terrible person. I'm sorry if Brovan Khev messes with your max boob slider nerd fantasy bridge crew. You hardly even see your crew near end-game, I don't see how you're so broken.

I'm playing as a KDF aligned Romulan Engineer and I'm enjoying things thus far.
The revamped storyline is more enjoyable thus far and I'm looking forward to flying some lower tiered ships I just bought for consoles or whatever along the way, plus the Delta story arc and finding the Iconian Easter eggs throughout is a nice addition.
Tovan is still there though... aint nothing I can do about that lol!
Just wish there were more hours in the day so I could keep up my regular spec/dil grind on my regular toons.

Speak for yourself, my Orion Bikini Squad is only my away team not my bridge crew ;)

Oh, forgot to mention that as a reason to pick Rom - KDF over Rom - Fed :)

I don't know what SRO means, but my context clues tells me it means, "my internet woman with max boob slider feel threatened by a TRIBBLE because I'm broken and need help".

SRO = Superior Romulan Operative...BOff trait

So his TRIBBLE is not Superior...:D

Sadly, this is actually closer to true than what they actually meant when mentioning that T.K. has the Romulan Operative trait, not the Superior version. One is, in no way, required to use everybody's favorite fantasy airlock victim. He takes up one slot out of... how many? At least 7 by endgame, and you can only use, at most, 5 at a time. This was a bigger issue before the new BOff Training system if you were swapping ships/builds, but now, who cares?

Only those who are, for whatever reason, offended by his very presence. Yes, he's annoying while the storyline is progressing, but once it is over, he's quiet. In my mind, he's in the lower depths of engineering, scrubbing EPS conduit fittings.

Personally, I'm just going to end up making yet another Fed..

    Why?

Because I own several T6 Fed Ships and I can slip my new character right into one of them. I also own a Scimitar and the Valdore, but have no interest in playing another Romulan, I just didn't enjoy the story as much as the Fed Story.

What I want is to play a Klingon, but then I'm faced with the issue that if I opt to level him all the way up, I'll likely be looking at a ship purchase and it just seems smarter to me to use one of the ships I already bought.

I might just make a KDF, play him to 50 and then use him to farm Contraband. Either way, Romulan is fine, but it's something you pretty much only want to play once.
    Insert witty signature line here.

Well I went Romulan as well ... but I just realized Romulans have more Story Missions thans FEDs and KDF => will take longer to get the Acc. Unlocks (might be a reason)
Everyone keeps trying to decide between Fed and KDF but very few say Rom -is there any reason such as ship access or is that just personal preference these days.

Well probably because every Romulan is going to be FED or KDF, sooner or later ... :P
