Star Trek Battles Channel T1-2 Event

There was discussion tonight about a T1-2 event for Fed's using The Motion Picture era ships for a PVE run. Ship wise it would be Miranda, Connie, Connie Refit, and Oberth. I was thinking a Saturday so we could get a lot of players involved. (heck I was thinking run this every day but that might get old with almost everyone).
Questions to answer:
1 Which event? KSA or maybe something easier like a Starbase 24?
2 Universal Consoles? Anything goes or are we going to keep this era specific?
3 Group set up? A few healers or more of a DPS bent?

Ok here is a bit of framework now discuss away!

I would TOTALLY be down for this. I'm usually on Saturday mornings for a bit and late night but will be down if I can catch one of these.....

It's always fun flying the Connie or Miranda for fun... Here's my thoughts.

1 - It doesn't matter to me... although the SB24 doesn't require strategy just pure pew pew.. it'll take a while but it can be done hahaah. Also I can suggest Scout Force which is fun. As for like stfs.. ISA is good but that would need some planning prior to other than that all is fair game.

2 - Anything goes I would think especially if we trying the harder stuff IMO

3 - Again for the harder stuff some more planning to see what we working with.

I look forward to some good ol fashion fun.

I don't like the idea of a motion picture era event, in part because I don't like the ships, pertly because I don't have any of the ships but more importantly because none of the ships match my current play style, can we make it a T1-2 event instead?

Thank you for pushing this waldotrek! :)

@adamkafei: The idea to limit it to a certain timeframe was raised because it looks much more awesome to have Connies/Mirandas/Oberths beat whatever **** we wanna beat. If we gimp ourselves by using canon loadouts we might as well make a themed run.
The Miranda costs 8000 Dilithium, I'd be happy to send you 20 contraband you can turn in for 8000 Dilithium. I'm pretty sure we can get everyone willing to participate a apropriate vessel!

We did T1-T2 runs in the past. This "Event" with its' restictions is also meant to push ourselves a bit again. And maybe even prepare us to do Elite Content in Canon Builds.

Advanced Content has become so easy, that a briefed STB Task Force can finish them all easily with optionals.

We need to define a Set of rules.

All I need to know is when. Can run in a Miranda, Connie refit, or Oberth.

Should also allow the T'Varo, for our Romulan friends.

I should be able to come to this, as I have the TOS Constitution, (That is ok, yes?) and my Oberth (OF 32 DPS!), but it would probably need to be a reasonable time for me (GMT), and I would try and make time/remember it. Just say the time, and I'll try to be there.

Since it's been mentioned, yes I've been thinking of doing an all T1-2 Rom or KDF event somewhere down the line. Imagine 10 or so Warbirds or B'Rel's swarming a large target, decloaking, firing, then disappearing into the nothingness of space.
Also an all TNG or Voyager era event would also be cool in a few weeks. Lot higher on the Tier list but still could be fun if planned well.
Heck want to get nuts we should do a Starbase 24 run in shuttles.

I do need to get a feel for what time zone everyone is in so I can coordinate a time that will work for everyone. I'm in the central time zone and prefer playing really late as opposed to early afternoon when I want to be outside. I'll try to schedule a few times over the weekend so we can work everyone in that wants to play. After all this is what is all about anyway right?

As for a meet up place...ESD?

Depending on the time Saturday, I'd be up for something like this!

Ok here are the specifics. If we get 5 players we can run Infected Conduit Advanced. I was thinking KSA but with the probes that could be a bit much. If we get more than 5 we should run Starbase 24 which is a 10 person PVE.

Time wise--- Saturday 6pm Central/7pm Eastern/11 pm GMT or if that is too late I can adjust or maybe split this into 2 events.

We will meet up at ESD and do the usually bit of planning before we begin.

Ship wise probably want to break it up so don't everyone bring a T2 Cruiser Refit although that would make things a lot easier. If you only can bring a specific ship mention it here so we can plan accordingly. I personally will probably bring my Connie or my Oberth depending on what I'm in the mood for.

Ok that is it. I'll be planning a ROM event for next weekend and a KDF one the weekend after that if there is interest (more on that later)

Hmm. 11 PM. Not sure I'll be able to get there, but I might. If I am able to get there, I'll be in my TOS Constitution, or my Oberth. Depends on who brings what. I'll have to set up a group myself someday. Just can't think of anything.

@ admiraltrappitt Do you want me to move the start time a little earlier say 10pm or 9pm GMT? Would like to get as many players in on this as possible. I also want to make sure we have enough for a full team.

Nah, unless there are more requests, don't worry just for me. If you move it a couple of hours earlier, it will start to be getting too early for timezones over in America.

If you have the Oberth totally bring it! It has Sensor Analysis which will be incredibly helpful, especially if all players concentrate on your target!
I can bring either the Connie Refit or buy a Miranda. Currently I'm available on Saturday but unfortunately that can change anytime if I get a last-minute rehearsal or a gig.

I would recommend looking at useful universal consoles, especially for crowd control.
Subspace Integration Circuit comes to mind.
Isometric Charge could deliver some serious damage, especially if used after the T5 Romulan active trait.
Both can be bought off the exchange.

Yeah bring your Connie Refit. Extra BOFF slots will come in handy.

As for my Oberth I thought about building a Heal Ship with Universal Repair Platform and BOFF Team Heals. Either that or a heavy shield take down build. I have a few builds ready to go. I'll base it on what everyone else brings.

Hope we have a great turn out. I have cool idea for next week.
