Ec for Dilithium? Need your input on my idea.

I was thinking about offering EC for Dilithium donated to Fleet Projects. Do you guys think people would be willing to donate Dilithum to my Fleet projects if I paid EC per Dilithium? If so, how much do you think is a fair rate? How many EC for 1 Dilithium?

They would indeed be willing to do that. Now, lets do the math.

Last time I checked, the value of 1 zen was 180 dil. (Didn't check for a while).
125 zen is one Master Key, so one Master Key is 180*125=18000+3600+900= 22500 dilithium per master key.

Again, last time I checked, a Master Key was 2 mil somethingish. So, 2.000.000/22500 = 88.8888889 or 89 ec per dilthium.

This would be the "fair" prize based on ratings on the exchange. However, I can easily see players demanding more than 89 ec/dil.

Check the exchange for the value of contraband as that is pretty much the value of dilithium in ec. so 5 contraband = 2k dilithium and that should give you a start value to offer.

Still waiting to be able to use forum titles

100 ec per deal is a very good deal that I haven't seen in game since the last big dil macro farmer I knew got banned.

Keys are 2.35mil all day now. Closer to 2.4. lets say 2.3 for sake of argument. Post a key for 2.3 on exchange and its gone faster than you can double click.

When figuring dil for ec using keys as a basis you need to use the 10 pack price as opposed to the single key price. 1125 for ten keys.

if dil is 190 per 1zen then 1125 zen is going to be 213,750 dil for ten keys.
ten keys is 23mil easy. sO.

1 dil is approximately worth 93 ec.
Most folks selling dil will politely invite you to try to shove keys into your starbase to see how that works when you make this argument.

During events like the recent JHSS promo the implied ec value of dil skyrockets. Or a lockbox replay, or a key sale, or any number of promotions offered by cryptic from time to time.

Folks sitting on hundreds of thousands if not millions of dil are well aware of this fact as well as the inherent value of a pile of refined dil in playing the dil exchange from week to week.

This also lends itself to higher ec prices for dil.

Personally? Ive seen people offer exhorbitant prices for dilithium donations. Ships, keys, epic gear.
It depends on what its worth to you really, how bad do you need or want it, how many people are willing to part with it and for what.

100ec per is a deal imho. Find that, please let me know cause i'll jump on it.

I don't think contraband is a fair way to asses the refined dil to ec value given that contraband results in unrefined dil. Unrefined dil is time-gated (and so is contraband turnover)...and much less valuable than refined dil for those that have big stockpiles of unrefined dil that will take months to refine.

The problem is building dil supplies for most is not farming unrefined dil, but rather the refining cap.

I think that Dil-->Zen-->lockbox key-->EC is the best way to make this conversions as it show the value of REFINED dil (vs. unrefined dil).

    Just my 2 cents.
