You will get your BoP when it gets here. Unless the Gorn Hegemony decides to commission more/better science vessels, you get squat (also, us "Feddybears" don't get a raider unless we use the Plesh Brek from the Winter event, and the Aquarius doesn't count).

Ship looks great but when will we get access to the t4 varients for the t6 and t5. We have access to the t5 on the t4 but not the ither way around. Would make the gal one of the most customisable ships in game

I love the looks of Negh'Tev, finally T6 KDF cruiser design I like.
Stats are okay, seems I'll use copy-paste of a2b build I had with Mogh, with additional lt.cmdr. engi skill.
I'll get the ship if nothing but to support the faction, and in hopes of T6 BoP or KDF sci vessel down the road.

    He looked badly at that.

Let's see the T5 Mogh and the T6 Negh'var for patrickngo.

The unupgraded Mogh has every stat worse or the same as T6 Negh'var, except one more tac console, one wep switched forward and the advantage of lower crew.

The T6 Negh'Var will get 52k hull, Mogh 37.5k at level 60. Same turn rate, cloak, same shields. The T6 Negh gets mastery passives on top: +10% base hull, +15% CritD, +25 kinetic and radiation and +25 energy resistance.

Both have a Commander eng, Lt.Comm. tac, Lt. sci. The Lt.Comm. eng/Command and Ensign universal of the T6 Negh don't objectively seem worse than an Ensign tac and Lt. universal. You won't have too much eng because of the command possibility. You only lose out on the Negh if you use the Lt. uni as a sci or tac on the Mogh. But sci doesn't get you anything new over the Lt. sci you already got and tac is unnecessary with an Aux2Batt build, which both ships are very useful for.

The T6 Negh has also two more sci consoles.

    Umm, so...

Even if you ugrade the Mogh, the Negh'Var will have more hull. Though yes, I admit a T5-U Mogh is a more useful ship than a T6 Negh because of the wep switch and 1 more tac console and no longer the loss of starship mastery passives.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
    Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

Second: The Big D gets Command possibility on the Lt.Com. Tac station, not the Commander ng one.
    Ah, misread that. My bad.
Third: If your D'deridex has 5 eng console slots, it means it's the FT5-U version. Thus you should compare it with the FT6 version that's also released tomorrow (see QnA part of the blog). That one is identical to the FT5-U, except the universal ensign gets bumped to lieutenant and the Lt.Com. Tac becomes a Command hybrid. Whether that's worth the cost for you depends on you.
I noticed the thingie about the Fleet versions in the addendum, after my post. Yay, get the 5 engineer consoles back... but then you lose the Ship Mastery option! Hah!
So at least the consoles remain the same? I'm entirely underwhelmed, still. $30 for the ship, another $10 for the fleet module, and all I'm looking at is something slower (pending typo?) with more hull and very minor boof changes. Arguably worse, if not objectively.

But for the price tag, definitely a bit of whoa. If it'd had another console - even a science console - or anything more than a mild boof upgrade and a bit more hull (which is redundant, really, isn't it?)...

Meh, I guess I'll get it after all. I'll just have to A2B it, I guess. Still, the extra Eng console will basically be a console dump for universals, and the third Sci console will make a good home for that third flow cap. plasma console I forgot that I had put in my bank, so that'll be nice after I upgrade it to Mk XIV.

I might be warming up to this ship already, and now I suppose my next alt will have to be another Klingon. (Alien-gen, though, since that seems to be the only way to REALLY make the facial details as craggy as they ought to be.)

Now your beginning to understand how many Fed players feel with a lot of ships they can buy that are underpowered and basically useless

    Nice PICKLE O avatar

But why Nerd Rage at me i was just agreeing with someones observation.

I think the devs couldve done more for the Ngh'Var after all who knows when the KDF will get another ship.

The console thing might be unfortunate, but it also means that KDF players did not already spend 4,000 Zen or whatever to fly the Neg'Var before, as many other people did for the Galaxy. Don't think of it as an insult to the KDF; think of the set bonus as a consolation prize for having to buy the same ship three times.

I am not sure, but Vor'Cha and B'Rel might actually have the same problem of not having special consoles. Maybe if they get around those two ships, they add consoles that share a set bonus with the Neg'Var? (Of course that would require them to be transferable between ships, which the Neg'Var console doesn't do.)

The whole thing about fleet T6 getting everything but the trait is kinda nice...it shows up the c-store ships as the trait mules they are, and allows people with the ec to get something with T6 boff slotting and stats without ever having to go through the cash store.

What do you mean "everything"? Special consoles don't come with fleet variants, so in this case the "Console – Universal – Molecular Cohesion Nullifier" won't be on there, unless I'm missing something here. There's no special console, and no T6 starship trait with the fleet variant, other than what's listed: "+1 Engineering console slot and +10% Maximum hull hit points and +10% Maximum shield capacity." In other words, they get nothing but some stats bonuses, and hopefully some new paint option, without which there wouldn't be fleet variants to begin with.
    - I don't like the design aesthetics of the Klingon or Romulan upgrades. Too blocky, too many raised panels. The Warbird seems to have excessively thick wings.

    - No special Interiors like the pathfinder got...could at least have given one per ship.

    [..]

    - Nothing imaginative to make them 'pop' Still no hanger slot for the galaxy/Andromenda, despite the fact that the Galaxy has the most hanger space of any 'canon' Starfleet vessel, and the fact that the Galaxy Dreadnought has one.

The wing thickness was the first thing I've also observed. I also agree that the Negh'Tev's gone overboard with raised surfaces and overburdened look. The intel bundles to me all looked great, can't stand the Command ones with the exception of the warbirds, and with these I'll reserve judgment until seeing them in 3D although it seems a big improvement already from where it was heading with the command designs.

Whatever ship will receive an interior will likely be whatever shows up and is used in the Season 10 story arc. Very much hoping for a Sovereign/Regent T6 full-ship canon interior. Hoping that would get released as maybe a bundle with the Pathfinder interior.

I can't get over the fact that the Rom/KDF don't have even basic cloak. I wonder what will happen if/when a Dreadnought variant of the Andromeda is released, which would be able to slot the basic cloak and DHC. This would leave both the Rom/KDF ships at a loss, unless of course both Rom/KDF also receive a dreadnought, a first for KDF, and a mighty successor to T5 Rom-Dreads.

No flight deck I guess is understandable. There's the Explosive Polarity Shift Trait that takes care of fighter attacks. As for frigate, targetable-torpedos, and particularly escort attacks, it could tank some of those, and still have the option of a saucer pet (which needs fixing), singularity abilities, and faster turn rates for fed/rom/kdf respectively.

Apparently the Gal-X skin isn't getting updated, at least not yet (if ever) https://twitter.com/Cryptic_TtC/status/582993658024103937

You guys should finally add the Typhoon Class Battleship as a playable Tier 6 ship, you know the ship that appears when you use Fleet Support! It should have 5 front weapons and 4 rear weapons and not include any special universal console to compensate for the 5 front and 4 rear weapons. Maybe even give it just 3 slots of all consoles and it still would be fine!

While I wouldn't mind no console but 5/4 weapons loadout on a Typhoon, the rest is a no.

With that said, I would definitely drop cash on a Typhoon or Jupiter. Moreso if the Jupiter comes in a flexible 3 pack; Tac Jupiter with cannon broadside console, Sci Jupiter supercarrier (3 Hangar bays; can equip Defiant "Frigate" pets), and Eng Jupiter Siege Cannon variant (BFG Lance with built-in wide or narrow beam click abilities and a 15km range).

I'm still on the fence regarding these 3 new ships. The Guardian and Command Cruisers (and for that matter, the Odyssey) does the job of the Andromeda well enough (if not better in most other aspects), the D'K isn't a priority for my Romulans (Faeht and Scimitar are still their go-to), and my KDF are still content with the Qib and Command ships.

I think I'll just save and wait for either a sale or the incoming Pilot ships. These 3 were just padding in the interim.

    3 Hangar bays
    Never going to happen.
And if it does, they rather give that carrier 2/2 on weapons if ships with 2 hangers get 3/3. And I think giving a ship 3 of every console is more then enough for something that can run 5/4 weapons bro - you don't have to be overkill to enjoy the game.

Maybe it's just me but is it true to say the KDF, and Romi ships have no cloak anymore? Because it doesn't say they can cloak in the descriptors...
or was it an over sight when doing the write up?

That would really stop me from buying them if they can't cloak...Just asking before I buy them

I'd actually pay cash for a carrier with more than 2 hanger bays. I'm at the point they got me with the Voyager 1/1 scale interior coupled with the T6 science vessel (as I am big time Voyager show fan) but they haven't made a dime off me since, no other ship since has been worth the $. Even if it was a ship with minimal weapons and had to be used in a group function it would be fun. take a more long range battle type than get in it's face and DPS DPS DPS.

I'm running the breen carrier atm, and it's alright, but that's it. it's ALRIGHT. Pull some guns off of a carrier like it, add another hanger (or two), tweak with the settings. Make a bloody support ship. A REAL support ship, rather than a average cruiser with some minor tweaks. A Hanger to attack with, a hanger to defend a teammate, and a hanger to defend yourself. (and add another one in reserve for when you need it should there be 4 bays) Limit the weapons to turrets if you want to make it interesting. I mean make it like an aircraft carrier of the now. Limited on board ship weapons mostly for close defense and it's 'attack force/ long range defense' being it's fighter craft. Surely this game has gotten worked on enough to support 3+ pet bay carriers now a days, right? Make players think strategy not bashing in something's shields and then rip it apart.

Make it a slow heavy ship with a bog ol booty who can't turn well. It would make her something that other teammates might need to protect in their cruisers. escorts, destroyers and sneaky craft (science). This might be making it sound like WWII tactics (which it is) but it could bring back some TEAM dynamics again. On the flip side it could just make people hate the carrier guy. I dunno. I wouldn't mind trying this ship out if it was made.

Not really there are a few ships that have lost their cloak like the temperal destroyer.. so it its not on the package I must ask..

It could happen; the Jupiter being the base is the biggest and slowest ship, so it already suffers penalties. It'd also be a new thing exclusive to it, so that's some money for it. It'd also be the Sci variant, so it'd still be able to manage (like the relatively slow Recluse and Sarr Theln). And it'd be intended specifically as a dedicated carrier and support ship much like current-day carriers. And to make it more unique, give it Cruiser commands so it can draw aggro off its pets and allies, or boost them (much like how real aircraft carriers are both a force multiplier, prime target, and often a dedicated support ship).

The Eng Jupiter Siege variant would just have a fixed forward lance with a 15km or 20km range (resulting in a 3/4 weapon loadout) capable of piercing multiple targets. Still slow to turn, 1 or no hangar, and just focused on bringing the biggest gun to snipe with.

The Typhoon could deal fine with a 5/4 weapon setup, 3 Tac, 1 or 2 Sci, and 5 Eng consoles. It's a battleship; so armor and some boosted firepower. Heck, it could go 5/5 with only 2 Tac consoles, 1 Sci console, and 4 Eng consoles at Fleet level and still be the battleship that it is, as long as the base stats and seating to cater to it. If it'd be anything like it's NPC self (excluding its ridiculous HP levels), it would be extremely durable, but slow.

Yes, but the Andy and the D'K are both reiterations of existing ships in the store - thus they have a set bonus. If there were no other Galaxy/D'd options then there would be (mass outrage and) no set bonus for those ships either.

So your argument is that because the KDF was not given prior development, their current developments should be left lacking as well?
    sharpie65 wrote: »
My point is: if a ship doesn't have the refit available, why should it get a bonus from consoles belonging to other ships in your faction?

Ummm... because all three Iconic Ships have the Molecular Cohesion Nullifier, and the Antimatter Spread and Projected Singularity already provide a set bonus with that console. I was merely suggesting that consoles already in the set be made available as set pieces to all the factions, which would at least give KDF players some option (albeit a high-cost lock box one, akin to the Plasmonic Leech). The suggestion you replied to wasn't actually requesting to use consoles from other ships in the faction, merely consoles that are already part of the set and which were already made available cross-faction.

Look at it like this - you would be a bit annoyed if one person kept going AFK in an STF and got very rare drops (which thankfully, no longer happens because of two things).

It's more the case that one player (the dev team responsible for offering KDF ships, or in this case failing to do so) had been AFK for years and therefore another player (the one that prefers the KDF) should be penalized now because of the prior actions of the first.

It seems pretty likely that it will, considering that they've got a Pilot spec coming up and that they just released three iconic cruisers. I hope we'll see a T6 BoP, Defiant and T'Liss fairly soon.

I see a Pilot Defiant/Escort in the near future. Still, it'd be pretty funny if they come out with the T6 Assault Cruiser (aka Soveriegn/Regent prodigy) or Excelsior with Pilot. Actually, now that I think about it, if the layout was good and sported a good turn rate/inertia, I'd buy it. Although, I think I am ready to keep Excelsior hulls in the stable.
