Title: Rise of Mol'Rihan
Author: @P_Sutherland
Mission ID: ST-HGYI9LOK4
Language: English
Level: 51+
Faction: Federation / Fed-Romulan
Start: New Romulus (aka Mol'Rihan ... or Dewa III.)
The year is 2410. The galaxy has taken a heavy toll after the Undine invasion. More and more worlds are turning to the major powers for assistance and protection.
With resources dwindling, Commander Setall of the Romulan Republic has put out a call for outside support with dealing with a new threat recently discovered on Mol'Rihan. Transmissions have been sent by an unknown party from an unexplored region of Mol'Rihan.
Determined to identify these unusual readings before they could become a threat to New Romulus. Commander Setall has sent out a call for further assistance.
You will need an environmental suit for this mission.
Just finished your mission and I really enjoyed it. The underwater gameplay was very well done and makes me wish there were more missions that had something like that. Thanks for the fun evening
There's also a Delta Volanis foundry mission that uses a map where your character is under water. And I've played another foundry mission that used a similar map. I don't remember what it was called though...
Just finished the mission. Excellent work all around, especially the glorious underwater map. Love all the optional interactables on the starting map, too. The story is great, and I greatly look forward to more. Is there a chronological list of all the Ask'kaar missions somewhere? I think I've only played this one and Depths of Nukara Prime. I definitely need to make time for the rest.
One thing I would strongly suggest, though, is that perhaps you include a note directing players to leave their away team on the surface, or else use EV suits for all of them. Maybe it was there and I missed it...
That's about the only thing "wrong" that I noticed, other than a few spelling/grammar issues. Fantastic mission all around.
ETA: Also, after you leave the staging area, your first talk to character X (no spoilers); he introduces himself as X; and one of the reply options is "I know you. You are X." Well, yes, he already said that. Might want to rephrase a bit.

As of this moment.
Depths of Nukara Prime >> Agitation >> The Hive >> Rise of Mol'Rihan ... though I might go through Agitation and The Hive to make them more "epic."
In testing they had a habbit of following you down regardless. Until the death volume kicked in. In some occasions for whatever reason the death field ignored them completely.
Will do.
Question for you and anyone else who wants to answer it.
When season 10 goes live. Sector space will be changing... The New Romulus System will become a foundry door. Would you prefere this mission start at the New Romulus System or do you want it left as it is?

I would definitely prefer the space door. Although I understood why you had to do it(currently), the initial landing at the staging area and talking to a random guy and using a random console felt...weird. I would much prefer if when you got to the system you simply got a message saying "so and so had requested you beam to this site/location".

Yeah, I'll make some changes to the start when the New Romulus System becomes available as a foundry door.
That was the most claustrophobic map I've ever seen, and I love you for it. The fact that the mini-map doesn't work just makes it better.
There was one minor bug, however: the Reman and the Ask'kaar (Artemis?) didn't spawn in their cells. Also, having both a Romulan warbird and an Ask'kaar lieutenant named Athena in the same mission could be kind of confusing. Maybe change one of them?
Regardless, that mission was just great. If the spotlights ever come back, this should be a shoe-in.
"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone

I just noticed that. I'll fix that tomorrow.
Hmmm... they were there for me. Maybe the "Death Fields" are catching them as the closer one in a contact and unaffected. Again I'll look at that tomorrow.
And not just the underwater stuff, but the whole going though the tunnels and looking for the boxes stuff made it quite refreshing from the usual shoot'em uo missions.
*R.R.W. Athena renamed to R.R.W. Proioxis.
*Various npcs renamed to fit the new ship name.
Can't find a reason for the Reman and the Ask'kaar not to be in their cells. I've adjusted their spawn points regardless to see if it fixed it.
New Question... On the objective.. "Drop into the ocean." Is anyone having problems with this part? Whether it be missing the marker or having to run back and grab it?

I had some trouble getting my EV suit to work properly (turns out I had to manually activate it, not just equip it) but I hit the marker every time.

I had forgotten about that by the end of the mission, but yes I do recall that now as well.

What happened to "Under the Skin" - did the Foundry system eat it somehow? I liked that one. (Haven't played the others yet, might try them when I have time!)

I didn't like that one. It was built in a rush for a Foundry Challenge... but I will rebuild it and make it "epic-er."
This was fun mission to play, including that underwater puzzle part of the mission. hopefully there will be a part II to this.
"Our history, our past, our present and our future is now forever changed. All we can do is preserve what is left and continue onwards. This is not a surrender nor defeat, we will continue the fight. This is our last hope, our last chance... for victory."

I played it today, and I liked it very much. Exploring was really interesting, and I went into every corridor to see if there was something at the end. A good story with a mystery.
The only thing is that after entering a new map the suit must be activated again, but I supposed it's a general game problem, not the mission itself. Well, that and already mentioned team dying quickly

It didn't do that in the foundry while I was testing it. So I didn't initially see it being a problem.

Same here with me, I entered a different underwater map and i had to activate the suit again. I guess the same thing happened to everybody that played this foundry mission.
And for some odd reason the mini-map map was blank when I was underwater, even when I clicked on the "m" button to bring up the map. All I saw was the "tracker" on the map to which way I was facing and as well as the "yellow objective" and that's it. Though I think it's a problem on my end... who knows. Anyways, it's a very good mission.

Mini map blanknesss is intentional. I want you to "get lost" when doing that part of the mission :P

Plenty of hidden goodies around the maze part :P
Well I certainly did get lost in the maze in the part of the mission where I had to scan the captives and the optional objectives. :D

Summary: This is truly an outstanding mission and you have certainly set the bar extremely high for the map designs alone. Your map designs for the underwater sequences were simply stunning. I was drawn into the story through the combination of the map design and story dialogue. I would highly recommend this mission to all players.
Below are a couple of things I noted while playing the mission that I wanted to let you know about. Everything in this write up should be seen as suggestions on ways I felt you could improve certain elements of the mission. They are yours to do with as you see fit.
Mission Description: This is a good description with well written background and mission notes. I noted no spelling or grammatical errors with this description.
Grant Mission Dialogue: This is good grant dialogue that makes you want to click 'Accept'. I noted no spelling or grammatical errors with this dialogue.
Mission Task: The initial task is a good use of the task. I noted no spelling errors with this task.
Mission Entry Prompt: The entry prompt is well written. I noted no spelling or grammatical errors with this prompt.
MAPS: Fields of Mol'Rihan: This is an excellent map design with well written story dialogue. The design of the underwater sequence is simply outstanding. I noted one item to consider changing:
-The Examine statue dialogue; consider changing "revealed itself to us on Qu'nos" to read "revealed itself to us on Qo'noS".
Temple of the Dewans: This is an excellent map design with good story dialogue. The design of the underwater map is virtually flawless. I noted no spelling or grammatical errors with this dialogue. I noted one item to consider changing:
-There are a couple of places where the player appears to run through and splash water. It is only a minor issue but mildly detracts from the elegance of the design.
Dewan Ruins: This is an excellent map design with well written story dialogue. The design of the underwater map is virtually flawless. I noted a couple of items to consider changing:
-The Lieutenant Athens dialogue; consider changing "easily pick us of while we're separated" to read "easily pick us off while we're separated".
-There are a couple of places where the player appears to run through and splash water. It is only a minor issue but mildly detracts from the elegance of the design.
Camp Battle: This is a good map design with a couple of fun battles and well written story dialogue. I noted no spelling or grammatical errors with this dialogue or any issues with the map.
Battle of Dewa IV: This is a good map design with tough but fun battles and well written story dialogue. I noted no spelling or grammatical errors with this dialogue or any issues with the map.
End Report
Thanks again for authoring and for giving me the chance to review your work. You did a great job developing this mission from the design through the battles and into the dialogue. I look forward to playing/reviewing more of your work in the future.

I also loved the group charge near the end.
