Where do we get them as Romulans? Are there Doff missions that reward them? The story line Boffs are ok for my first/main Romulan, but if I'm going to roll another, I wouldn't mind some variety. The Bridge Officer provider only seems to sell commons, and I can't see any details on them. The exchange is still in the "ZOMG I HAZ ROMULONZ, GUV ME ALL YUR ECZ!!!" phase. I'm not spending 5 to 15 mil per officer. Also, the embassy option would require tier 3, which we are only at tier 1 currently, and my understanding is that those Boffs' uniforms cannot be altered. If that's the case, I'd rather stick with the story Boffs, which I can at least make look like my own.
Anyway, is there a good place to find the doff mission if there is one, or some other way I haven't stumbled onto yet?
Thanks all

Well, you got Purple Romulan BOFFs available with Fleets with Tier 3 Recruiting.
And surely there are BOFF recruiting missions available like the Federation and KDF get. You just have to unlock DOFF Tiers to make them available.
I believe the BOffs you get from fleets are classed as Fed or KDF, and thus unable to train their skills to a Romulan faction BOff. This is a problem some players are having.
I'd also be hesitant to assume there are proper recruiting missions for Romulan BOffs. The Romulan DOff system is threadbare at best.

You can also buy them from the exchange, for about 5 million credits each.
Meanwhile all the other very rare boff officers are in the 30.000 credits range. Funny how that works.
As I mentioned in my post, I know there are vary rare Romulan Boffs available via tier 3 embassy, but my understanding is that those aren't customizable (like Breen, Borg Science, Reman Science, etc.). If the embassy ones show up as Fed/KDF rather than Rom, and can't be trained by the Romulan trainer, that makes them even more useless.
As for the 5 million+ EC ones on the exchange, where are they coming from? Just the leveling up rewards that for some reason people would rather sell than use? I only got one offer of a very rare Boff, and I grabbed the female Tac with two space traits (one being superior rom operative). Are the episode Boff rewards random for everyone?

You also receive Rare and Very Rare Bridge Officers while leveling, as normal. Some of these are better than what I've noticed in the Embassy, with both Saboteur and Superior Romulan Operative, with Superior Operative on males and females of all three careers, not just on the Rare male tac.
You can only get the DOFF assignments in Tau Dewa Sector or in the Command Center.
The spawn rates are real messed up. You have 24 chances a day - every time you personal resets.
Even if you check every hour, it could take days to see one. Takes me about 4 days of looking, and looking and looking. Sometimes it can take over a week. .
I am also not sure if its tied to your doffing level. I am maxed out but its possible you might need the level 4 in something

You might consider waiting until the Recruitment event starts... theoretically, we'll be having a lot of new players, or new alts... and those players may opt to post their BOFFs on the exchange. Supply forces the price down... BOOM, you get BOFFs for cheaper on the exchange.
Unless you're looking for specific traits... then, you still might get ripped off.
I've seen the doff mission pop in the command center and tau dewa, and I believe the other sectors between tau dewa and iota pavonis...this is moot now with the map changes coming, we'll see what happens there.
I have also NOT seen a reman recruitment mission since before delta...
I agree that at the very least you should be more likely to get a recruit romulan than a recruit human/Klingon if you're running an allied romulan.
and if you've paid for the option to play the reman, one would think you'd be more likely to recruit remans than any other species.
Part of the problem here is that the guy that originally set up the cxp and doff system isn't on board anymore, so it's been on the back burner for a while. I expect that may be changing soon.
