Facepalms into a hairbrush

Interesting way to annoy players at the end of an event; Give them a "crystalline non combat pet" instead of the advertised "crystalline torp launcher".

(Didnt even come in a box, it simply got thrown at me)

    Did you have a previous CC shard project slotted from before this event, and did not slot the new project?

    previous was the doff. he had the previous previous slotted lol.
    slot what you can before the even ends and grab it next cc event

    What was the first such project? I don't recall other than there being the noncombat pet.

    No, since i hit "select" on the project, on the new event.
    The old event had vanished along with 3 spent shard points long ago.
    I was thinking before i started this event that i could continue with the old one but for some reason the old one was not there anymore.
    So i hit select and slotted the new project.

    Old unfinished projects don't just vanish without help. You must have canceled the project. I still have old CC projects still queued along side the new one on some characters.

    Perhaps, or i never had the old project slotted to begin with on this char. The last one i did was for "zefran shotgun".
    Wouldn't i be thrown a "DOFF" if that was the last?
    I cant remember starting an event that gave a pet, nevermind i didn't have any problems on the other chars, just this FED one.

    Going from memory, the CC event gave us:

    Crystal Shard pet
    Gravimetric Science Doff
    Emergency Conn Hologram Doff
    Torpedo

    in that order.

    yep that's it. In fact on one of my characters I finished the Crystal Shard Pet instead of taking the torpedo.

    Yup, you must have completed the original project instead of slotting the new one. I've still got the original one I never bothered finishing from years ago, maybe I'll finish it this year.. maybe not.

    Nope, you hit select on the project... as the next one to run, after you finished the current project (from days past).
