Vorta mad scientist in the KDF. The KDF because the Federation's extradition treaty at the end of the Dominion War.
You see, my Vorta believes he's on the verge of the next big breakthrough in high energy physics. The last copy of him received an epiphany about the connective, or connected, nature of sub-atomic physics. So certain was he of his epiphany that he ran a barrage of very dangerous tests without any thought towards safety procedures. The lab he was in imploded in a scientifically fascinating manner. They brought my character on line afterwards, and while he has no idea what the epiphany was, he became obsessed with recreating his prior clones work to no avail. His obsession became debilitating and he was determined to be defective. Rather than simply die though he fled, from his humble post in the Dominion Science Ministry to the Alpha Quadrant where he can hopefully continue his research.
He knows what he almost discovered is going to change the galaxy, and all will be right the gods after that. He fantasizes about his triumphant return to the Dominion, some day, and all the praise, glory and acclaim that will rain upon him. Get a few drinks in him, he'll tell you all about the parade they're going to throw him. In the meantime though, the best way to be certain of his place in the Klingon Empire is to stay under the radar and to make himself indispensable to anyone around him. It's how he ended up the sensors officer on an out-dated, nearly derelict KDF war ship that no sane warrior would ever serve on. His ability to administer schedules, pay, supplies and finances guaranteed that his over-the-hill drunkard of a Captain, and his naive, glory-hound Second Officer would promote him to third in command, just to keep him around to do the sorts of things that are beneath a warrior of the Klingon Empire.
Making a fed and kdf, maybe a Rom or reman KDF also (just in case there are faction specific bonuses)
Most likely, a Lib Borg Fed Tac.
Alien or Gorn KDF Tac. (Aliens can use 10 traits, that's hard to pass up)
Rommy or reman KDF Tac.
But that an awful lot of grind, can't say that I'm looking forward to it.

Lots of jem'hadar
I'm also thinking about including a denobulan mad scientist that was hired to create female jem'hadar for the males, haven't decided yet.

Otherwise Rom/Tac/KDF as I've tried most of the other options (even a Talaxian) and just want to level nice and easy.
Look at the pretty mushroom grow
