I posted a reply on this in another thread before I noticed yours on this topic, so I'll repeat my conclusion here as well.
Not to sound ungratefull or grumbling for the sake of grumbling, but releasing a T6 Negh'Var, which would undoubtedly be a battlecruiser or a form of a cruiser type ship, before a T6 BoP, carrier and a science ship only emphasizes the huge disconnect that exists between the devs. at Cryptic Studios and their KDF playerbase.
We currently have 5 T6 ships as a faction. 4 of them are battlecruisers. If this makes it, and given the source of the leaks I have no reason to doubt the validity, it would bring us to 5 battlecruisers out of 6 T6 ships. Add that to a huge number of really and I mean really good T5-U battlecruisers the faction has and you'll see why I use the term "saturated market" for KDF battlecrusers. It's like noone at Crpytic ever heard of that term or it's implications.
And this is comming from a player that absolutely loves cruisers/battlecruisers and owns most of them. I didn't even get the latest 3-pack because I have no real use for battlecruisers anymore, I have so much good ones already.
Man, I really do feel like they're setting themselves up for faliure sometimes. As if they're looking for something that will give them the excuse to not continue releasing KDF stuff because it didn't sell. Well ofcourse this won't friggin' sell nowdays, we're already drowning in battlecruisers. It's the whole Bortasqu' thing all over again and I happen to love the Bortas. But facts are facts.
Look at the number of Mat'Ha Raptors out there, they're literally everywhere. The KDF was begging for a good C-Store Raptor for years and when they finally gave us one, it sold like cupcakes. It's pretty obvious what the KDF has and what the KDF needs by just strolling around in game, if only Cryptic devs. would actually play their game and even....*gasp*....play KDF every now and then.
So yeah....I'm not going to rant against a new ship, having a new ship is always good for our underdeveloped faction, but mark my words - unless this is a Negh'Var skin on a ship with the preformance of a Bird of Prey or a Carrier, it won't sell well.
Unless it's a 5/3 and/or 5 tac console battlecruiser.. they've already shot themselves in the foot with the CBCs.
The LAST thing we need at this point is any more (battle)cruisers.
I hate to be so negative as I'm someone who has been wanting and asking for a 'super-neghvar'.. since.. a long time.. but the market is simply over-saturated with too many other good options right now.
Edit: I suppose it's a remote chance, but perhaps it's some sort of freebie/earned reward tied to the Delta Recruitment thing?
It'd have to have impressive specs and/or Trait to sell well. I can see some being sold just to the canon crowd looking for something T6 to fly, though.

No Romulan icon found so far that I've seen. Also. Cryptic doesn't want to do faction rewards for freebies/lockboxes anymore since they have to make 3x now, and they don't want the extra work if they decide to add yet another faction (like them having to make new Temporal ship designs for the Romulan faction release).
Only thing we can do is wait and see what the stats are. But I will concur that right now, we are stacked in Battlecruisers. If I don't count the T5/T5U Battlecruisers which still perform like Mogh, Vor'Cha, etc, the T6 Command FDCs and Qib, fill a number of duties.
The only hit I'd give the Command FDCs is that they have the Cruiser Command selection of FDCs and not Battlecruisers.
T6 Negh'var would have to really be something special.
Honestly, if the Fleet B'rel retrofit was available at T3 vs T5 shipyards, I would have already bought that and used the upgrade to T-5u as my main ship on numerous alts. Just level up the Ma'Ha and Qib for the traits.
Although I do have several alts in both atm, lol, I still have several in the MU Ki'tang for the seating arrangement and low price when I got them. IMO they are much more versatile than the Hegh'ta at L40 which both unlock at.
The drop fleet, buy ship, rejoin fleet shuffle is a bit much with so many alts atm.
While I would like a T6 BoP/SCI/Carrier with Intel powers I don't see them adding it anytime soon unfortunately.
PS.... I would still like a T6 K'Vort make it bigger than a standard BoP, turn of 18, 5/2 wpn, 3E/4S/4T, and able to launch 1- Hanger of ships, I would be a happy camper, my personal head canon for a K'Vort is that its a Battle Cloaking Fire-Support Battle cruiser able to sneak behind enemy defenses and assist normal BoP wolfpacks during time of war and the outward appearance was a scaled up BoP design due to ease of production/familiarity.
To me the reason I fell in love with the BoP design was this is a small but effective craft that just makes perfect sense for a pirate/raider vessel. Able to sneak past enemy defense with our cloak, a large cargo area for our liberated goods and a small crew to split the share of the bounty with.
If it's a science ship (a true one) then it will sell but I don't something that is a cruiser on the lower levels would swap class to a science ship at T6.
A same, itching for a new science ship. A decent one. Might make me play the game more a roll a KDF science. Or work on my first character if they brought in a re-class token.

So... I had a Dream last night about Season 10.. I flew to a system in the reworked sector map to run the new mission. Shortly after arriving in the system, a massive galaxy-like vessel with janky nacelles called the U.S.S. Rivalry jumped in and the mission was to assist it in clearing/holding off a Herald assault.
When I say massive, I mean the saucer section was about the size of the Scimitar's wingspan. and would have made the Jem Hadar Dread look like a medium-sized cruiser. Despite having a low flight speed, it was surprisingly nimble and was firing off special movement(pilot?) abilities that made it 'dance' like an NPC Scimitar or Sheshar.
While this is obviously complete fantasy, it did bring up an interesting question. Would you be interested in a T6 Galaxy/Neghvar if they were physically massive 5/3 super-dreadnoughts, but still had a heavy engineering focus with Pilot seats? No more than 3 tac consoles.

Physically massive, not as such. I'm rather tired of larger Rom ships bumping me (or mine bumping others) to the top or bottom of the map. I'm actually fairly happy that the Xindi-Aquatic Carrier I have is not as big as it should be based on canon, just to avoid that issue, on top of it making warpcore explosions easier to avoid.
5/3 would be a bit gimped by a 3 Tac consoles. The Shesars I've seen aren't the balls of death that the Scimitar is, and they have 4 tac consoles and access to OSS3. Unless Pilot skills are more OP than they seem to be while looking at the manuals for them on Tribble, 3 Tac would kill desire for it for people interested DPS.
As for as being Engineering heavy, that is my expectation. The Negh'var will likely have a similar layout to the Qib, where you have to lean on the Hybrid seat to get a decent Tac/Tac-like build.

Ha... Bahaha... Muwahahahaha!!!
Who knows? Maybe it will be good

At least it doesn't seem to be a three-pack.

It still doesn't rectify the T6 gaps for the KDF:
#1 Bird of Prey
#2 Carrier
#3 Science Vessel

Plus having a Pilot Boff seat. Yeah, It'll sell. lol
LOL, if anything, a T6 BOP with Intel or Pilot seat makes more sense for it than a Cruiser/Battlecruiser.
