    Starfleet (for the ships)
Alien (for the extra trait slot)
    Tactical

I'll probably use a cruiser, since in the past I mostly leveled using an escort, even though cruiser is my favourite type.
    Previously Alendiak
    Daizen - Lvl 60 Tactical - Eclipse
    Selia - Lvl 60 Tactical - Eclipse

I'm deleting the fed Sci I made to do the new tutorial and rerolling him, maybe as a Betazoid or Andorian, and using the free slot to roll a Gorn Tacfor the utter lolz.

Hmmm, I gave a few thoughts about it. I want to make a bouncy kitty, becouse I dont have one yet and it seems Cryptic started to make content that favors those race, like that stupid aniversary FE. But since I got plenty of fed toons and really dont like kdf, I want romulan faction... wich it seems impossible. Asked around fleeties and friends, and check wikies and it seems there cant be a romulan kitty. Altho I do remember seeing at some point a kat in New Romulus Command. Didnt checked info on it to see if it was a alien gen made to look like one since at that time wasnt interested to make another toon. Still there were good chances it was a genuine cat toon glithed in there, since it was jumping around those rocks in the middle rather easy. Or maybe if you unlock from C-store cat races, can you select that special +75% jump trait on the alien species and make it look like a cat? Dunno, still have to gather more info.

Alas, if anything above cant be done, guess I will make a Ferasan tac toon. Lots of advanteges in lvling faster (both in killing faster and better xp from doffing), wich is what I care the most, not becouse I want to lvl up "yesterday", but becouse of limited game play time.

Torn between the alien for the extra trait slot. Or another joined trill of some nature. Really not sure of the benefit difference.

And more information needed first of all, so looking out for the blogs.
If you've come to the forums to complain about the AFK system, it's known to be bugged at the moment.

Waiting for additional info on the event.

edit: Still think it's oddly funny that they're doing it after the Crystalline event. Create a new toon...that can't get the AP Torp from the event that just finished the week before! /facepalm

If they had run the event before CC event, then the complain would have been that Delta Recruits couldn't have gotten the anniversary ship and before that the winter event ship and before that... you get the picture.

I might run an (alien) Chameloid like the one in Star Trek VI runing around impersonating famous Starfleet Captains and pop culture icons on occasion ;)

well I promissed myself that I won't make any more toons now that I have 7 of them and they are all level 60 and they will be completing the delta rep very soon and once they are done I'll be ending up being bored but after I've read about this "Delta Recruit" event might as well make a 8th toon maybe a alien sci already got plenty of tacs enginneers and only one sci who is my main but guess it wouldn't hurt to make another sci.

I think I'll make this one a healier and we do need more healiers after been playing through Bug Hunt elite a few times

I haven't chosen yet. It's going to be a throwaway alt so it doesn't really matter to me. KDF probably, for the shorter story arc.

I need a Romulan Tactical, a Federation Engineer and a Klingon Science.

Not sure on what species I'll go with. Though I am NOT making a third Klingon. He has to be something else (When I created my second Klingon, he was never intended to be a Klingon, but as he was a Tactical Officer, I got over-ruled. I mean, what else could he be)? I may go with an Alien Romulan as I already have a Romulan and a Reman, as for the Fed... I have a Human & a Benzite, (and a Ferengi on a second almost untouched account), but I really have no idea just what he's going to be.

Need more info, for all we know we might get some new races. That said, while I will probably use the slot for the intended purpose, I only play one character seriously any more, which is my KDF Sci. Nothing is going to usurp that character simply because the game is too alt-unfriendly for me to want to play the others, and the one I play now is my favourite which is why I use her.

It is too early to speculate though for the time being. Hopefully they'll give more details in reasonable time before the release, and who knows, maybe they'll make the game a bit more alt-friendly before this releases (I can wish right?)

I no longer do any Bug Hunting work for Cryptic. I may resume if a serious attempt to fix the game is made.

Either a KDF alien Engineer or a Romulan/KDF or Fed Lib Borg Engineer.

I would make a Lib borg KDF, but they are too limiting character making wise.

It depends entirely on updates from Cryptic, tbh...

I won't even bother making a Delta Recruit at all. The event is basically telling the Veteran players that their characters they spent a long time getting just right isn't good enough to be a Delta Recruit.

Just like the title say, what race and career have you chosen for the delta recruit event? Or have you decided not to play the event? I'm thinking of going Romulan male, the career is tactical, and is ally to the Klingon faction.

I'm probably going to roll a new female Romulan, Engineer, KDF Faction.

Just to annoy STO's self appointed purity police I'm thinking about finally doing an Orion female in the skimpiest outfit they have.

Is exotic dancer a valid career?

Since I'm not going to play the character after I unlocked everything I want, thanks to the alt unfriendliness this game have, I plan to create a contraband farmer (IE KDF).

Eliot Ness, with the IKS Untouchable. I don't know yet for the race, either a talaxian, or an Orion (boob slider to the max, size to the minimum), for the troll.

Perhaps I'll delete my 2 lowbies and remake them. But they are just Rom BOFF farmers anyway.

Fed-playable Klingon, Engie, just so I can have the Klingon experience with a depth of ships to use.

you will never have the Klingon experience as you call it playing as a fed. see the light and become our brother join the KDF and see what it really means to be Klingon.

as for the whole ship thing sure we have less but what we do have upto t6 is better than feds have. after T6 it becomes a ship trait issue where the feds do have an upper hand, but that's solely the fault of a lazy dev team.

I'm thinking this is the perfect opportunity to drag in a friend who's been saying he'll come play with me. We can both start new toons together and do the Delta stuff.

Whoever the new character is, they're going to be a Fed, for the simple reason that if I'm doing this largely to intro a friend to the game and unlock stuff for my main, I want to be doing it in a framework I'm most familiar with so that I'm not also getting used to a faction and storyline I don't know as well, and can focus on the new content using the Fed ships and stuff I've already unlocked to speed along any tedious parts.

If I manage to completely unlock all the new Delta Recruit stuff quickly enough, I might make that Rom alt I've been thinking about for a while and do it there too.

I'm planning to be a female Romulan scientist, mainly since I haven't yet played as a Romulan or a scientist.
I am a radical feminist, and as such have no fear of being controversial. Delta Rising is the best expansion ever and I love it.

My fed aligned romulan is science. Decent enough with the dyson ship, but there are very few science ships to choose from.

Personally i will be going with a KDF aligned Romulan tac.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Once they release the Boni which shall not be named ... and I decide it'll worth my time ...

Probably Alien KDF-Rom ... can change Species if bored ... would run something funny like Pakled or Tellarite, but already have too much FED Toons ... probably will be just another Event/Dil Mule Toon anyway ...

Still hoping for new Species, though ... Acamarian or Suliban would fit my profile ...

Not really interested in making one, too much of an investment to grind out another toon these days. Especially since there isn't anything interesting beyond the three I already have available. No T6 connies so Fed engineer is out of the picture. No Romulan or KDF T6 science ships so no point in exploring science in the factions I'd be interested in doing it. No fleet T6 ships so yeah... why bother especially when you start factoring in upgrade costs for equipment?

I have 12 characters which are pretty much "one of each". My tentative plan is for a Romulan Science captain, the one combination I don't have. I'm thinking liberated Borg, named "Thirteen". She'll be allied with the Federation, fits with the backstory I've come up with for her. She's one of the prisoners rescued by Federation forces from Gasko Station in "Desperate Measures".

I'm also kicking around some ideas for Federation and KDF characters, if I should need one of each faction for the event.
