Question: Fast EC grinding?

Well, like the title says more or less, I wanted to ask what is good to do for fast EC grinding nowdays? Apart from buying master keys and selling them on the exchange, ofcourse. :)
I'll admit that I never overally cared for grinding EC and I usually always have a substantial amount for what I need at a given time by just playing the game. So...you coulkd say I'm out of the loop when it comes to dedicated EC grinding. But if I want to achieve a set goal, like the bugship I finally want (and always wanted) to get for my Ferasan, what would be the best, fastest and most efficient way I should go about that??

What do you guys usually do that works for you? Any advice and ideas are much apreciated. :)

I can't think of anything better than keys for the older box items.
Open enough and you can buy Lobi stuffs (that aren't bound  ) like the Xindi-Reptilian BOff to sell.
Stuffs that are almost worthless now, like the Skill Bonus Pools, should be worth some nice EC when (or if) we start our Delta Recruit toons.

Aside from that, I don't know what else to offer.
    NO to ARC

Basically, you don't "grind" EC - as your primary source of EC is vendor trash - I mean mission loots.

There are, however, the occasional "blast lots of stuffs" mission in the foundry that qualifies enough to get a handful of loot items to be vendor trashed...

Otherwise, the primary source of EC is the exchange. Since everything Dil buys you is bound to character, you'd have to exchange it to Zen then either buy master keys to exchange or you could gamble on the zen things like lockboxes and try to get bigger EC gains per item...
Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...

Buy R&D boxes while the Bug ship promo is taking place.

These Promo boxes are selling for 8.2 million EC on the Exchange right now. 1,000 Zen will get you 4 Promo boxes which equates to 32.8 million EC.

A 10 pack of lockbox keys will cost you 1,125 Zen. The lowest price key is currently 2.2 million EC so selling 10 keys will net you 22 million EC.

"Fast grinding 'E.C.' in this game IS A JOKE!!!

My top lvl char is only half way to Captain and I have 21,150,000,000 EC to my char's name...

"Grinding E/C" is a joke here in this game, seriously!!! My first Lvl char @15 i broke out 150TH (and capped myself) just selling what I thought was "junk"". on the EXCHANGE

To be honest, IF your only goal is to become of the "billionaires" in this game...then you might want to look for a different game/...cause3 making EC is nothing but nothing.

Are you sure you have the right number of zeroes there? Because IIRC, even with the unlock, the max EC you can have on one character is a billion.

Unless you're talking about your account and not your character.

umm the xindi boff is bound every since they made the change about xfering boffs a few patches back. support knows and it has been in bug reports. still no fix yet. and no it has not even been unboxed which does bind it normally.

but anyways OP with the great EC nerfs over the past year and the reduced number of people playing you best bet is play the exchange for items feds are likly to buy.

hell they are so dumb you can make a ferengi lvl 1 toon and buy the tech upgrade kits from vendors and sell them on exchange for 4k profit each. FAST just takes the time to separate the stacks out into single lotts
Trophies for killing FEDS ahh those were the days. Ch'ar%20POST%20LoR.JPG

DOffing is the best method - and the KDF are good at it.

You can grind and sell contraband instead of turning it in - a decent run (taking only 10 mins gameplay) could easily net 1m EC from that alone. Feds always want to buy it, the only problem is you are then cutting off your dil supply. At the current exchange rates, I think this is still more efficient than buying and selling master keys; you'd need, what, 20K dil per master key, which would equate to about 2.5M EC if you sold the contraband, about 10% more than current key prices IIRC.

DOff trading is my main earner - Beta Ursae / Alpha Trianguli are good here - get the exchange missions, turn in a green and hopefully get a purple back.

Crafting can also be good, if haphazard; but a weapon with the right mods can command insane prices (my best result saw a CritdX4 Dual Antiproton Bank go for 60M EC). At least you can get the materials from queued missions so the investment is "only" time.
