Hello all, I was wondering if anyone has more details on fleet provisions, and how it works? I get the basics there are projects we do that allow us access to certain items like ships, buffs etc. that for example give "5 military fleet provisioning".
But what does that mean exactly?
We have a fleet level of 2, and SB with the tier 1 complete, and under the provisions tab says we have 45 "Starbase Military Fleet Ship Provisioning" Does this mean we have the ability to purchase up to 45 ships? Or does that 45 equal less or more? How do we use that system of provisioning? Is it automatic as in if someone buys a ship do we loose an equal provision number I.e. one Starbase Military Fleet Ship Provisioning.
And at what Starbase level/tier do these "provisions" become useable? Or what base assets are necessary to use them.
I guess the entire provisioning system is very unclear to us and we were hoping something was going to be released from the Devs.
Operational Assets are a new kind of resource for use in starbase defense. If you're playing the starbase incursion, the starbase fleet action, or other missions directly associated with your starbase, you can use your operational assets to perform tasks that will have a large effect or benefit your entire team. Operational assets represent the scale of your starbase -- you can use these assets to do things that you couldn't do with a single ship alone.
Operational Assets will be available in the space and ground fleet gear listings, in your requisitions area on your starbase. Like many of the new items available from bases, they are provisioned. That means that your fleet must run a project to provision them -- to place a certain number of assets for collection in your stores. After the project completes, your stores will have the assets available for purchase by your fleet members. Once all of the provisions are exhausted, your fleet will need to run the provisioning assignment again to restock the stores.
To provision certain assets you must already complete specific upgrades. Having a more powerful shipyard, com array, or industrial fabricator will allow you to produce more spectacular assets.
OpAssets are available in both space and ground versions.
OpAssets represent facilities or support that require the assistance of a starbase, such as calling for a wing of escorts to assist you in a battle, charging a massive phaser lance or disruptor cannon on your starbase, or setting up a fully-staffed medical triage center during a starbase interior defense. They are consumed on use, but you can re-provision to make more of them available.
*My* understanding is that the ship provisioning works the same way.
Y'know, a FAQ document usually has answers for specific frequently asked questions.
Please don't title something as a FAQ when it answers no questions.
Our starbase is still at Tier 0, so unfortunately I have no answers either.

I actually think he is still correct in the use of FAQ in the title. Granted its not an answer list. But his questions are constantly being asked to me ingame. And I myself ask those same questions. So that alone qualifies it to be FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions.
2 People bought Fleet ships with Credits and 4 Modules.
Our Military Provisions went down to 13.
So Provisions means your allowed to spend $20 for Ship Modules, And 20k Fleet Credits to buy a Fleet ship. (As long as you have proper Permission from the fleet to so so.)
Figure same goes for Ground weapons and such, Personal Requisition Provisioning. We have 20, And when at the starbase, browsing Armor and Weapons it says 20 Available.

Thanks for any helpful info you can add.
There are 3 types of provisions for each area: Military, Engineering and Science. For each type you have Buffs, Provisions and Operational Assets.
Buffs: Exactly what they sound like. They are consumables you can purchase which grant you a buff in that specific area. An example is +2 to all engineering skills.
Ops Assets: These are consumables that you can purchase for use during fleet events. An example would be a deployable torpedo platform for space, or a security team for ground.
Provisions: These are actual items you can purchase such as ships, armor, weapons and shields, using fleet credits and dilithium. The amount of each provision type you have represents the amount of that specific item type you have in stock. So if you have 45 Military Fleet Ship provisions, your fleet members can purchase a total of 45 ships. Each time a purchase is made, the number will decrease by one.
You can actually get in game info by heading to your Quartermaster, on the base, and checking each type. Hope this helps.
Hello all. I have a new player question here. I have all the needed amounts to buy a Fleet ship [Fleet credits, ship modules, etc.]. When I go to buy the fleet ship I want I receive the message "You do not have permission to buy from the provisioned fleet stores". What does this mean and how do I go about getting permission? My fleet Emperor stated I needed to see a fleet officer to "bump my permission level up". Where do I locate the fleet officer? I am really unclear as to the process. Thank you in advance for your help.

Your rank within the fleet must have the permission "Buy from provisioned Fleet stores". None of the promotions are handled by the game, they're handled by the other players that run your fleet. You'll need to talk to an officer in your fleet about getting promoted to gain access to the fleet stores. If they refuse or have high requirements, you can easily find many other fleets that have low requirements, or freely give access to fleet ships.
If you're on fedside, feel free to shoot me a tell ingame @spencerb96 if you're needing to find another fleet to get your ship from.
It is not allowed to post in a thread that is over 30 days old. Most fleets make the first fleet rank unable to purchase Fleet items until a new fleet member has proved themself through some method. A Fleet Officer is a player that is part of your fleet that helps with the day to day operations of the fleet. Open up the Fleet Roster and send a message to one of the Fleet Officers that are currently on.

Thanks for the answers to my question. Also, I was not aware there was a 30 day limit on thread responses. As a new player on this forum, I could only respond to threads already made and not create new ones. My search came to this thread [old as it may be] but still discussed an issue relevant to my question. It is definitely something new players should be aware of as they are saving to buy a fleet ship.
