I'm glad I graduated from Starfleet Academy in 2409

Because I just air-locked the current graduating class.

Decided to fill up my fleet's projects (I'm pretty much solo'ing the fleet at this point).

735 duty officers at once.

Can see myself standing on the mezzanine at ESD, looking down on all those anxious happy faces.

"Welcome graduates! Today you begin your service. Not just to the Federation.. but to ME! mwah-ha-ha-ha"

Slam my hand down on the big red button, emergency forcefields drop around me and the windows of ESD blow out.

Not saying it's a bad thing. Have you seen the quality of cadets they are letting into Starfleet these days?

It took you 409 years to graduate, and you question the new cadets?

Move over Kurland, your got competition!

Not 409. I'd say about 394 to 396, looing at the join date of the OP.

And you didn't airlock them. You simply sent them on a new assignment at a starbase.

Nope, airlocked them. Cause in my fleet, if you aren't a hottie in a TOS Mirror Universe uniform, you're going out the door.

I guess they could be on an important assignment though. "Ensign Bubba, for your first tasking in the fleet, I need your cold dead body to go bounce off that asteroid over there." whoosh!

The way I look at it for my Fleet (which I am the main DOFF contributor) is that I am requesting the services of the Non-Coms and Officers. I spend my "prestige" to get them in bulk for Temporary Duty Assignments for Fleet projects and then they return to their previous assignments or are assigned another duty assignment.

Actually, you sacrificed them in rituals to the star-gods.

According to the dev who invented the doff system, anyway. And who am I to disagree with a dev?
