new t6 escorts?

Could we please get a new fed t6 escort that doesn't look like a defiant that was stepped on?
the ship is about the ugliest thing in any fleet , (except maybe the blow fish looking Klingon carrier).

How about letting us put defiant or sao Paulo skin on it? I'd like to buy the t6 version but just can't get by how hideous the thing looks.

We have to "pay" for the thing, why can't we get one that at least looks like it belongs in the star trek universe? Not in tron or some b grade sci fi channel movie.

I'm actually quite surprised that there is no real Federation T6 Escort in the game.

Say what you want about the power of the Phantom, it's still not a Starfleet ship, it's surprising that they haven't given any options for Federation Escort Captains.
    Insert witty signature line here.

I'm still hoping we'll get the Pathfinder treatment for the HEC/Akira chasis with a Command seat. The Thunderchild and Armitage already make it ripe for a nice console 3-set and it was pretty much Starfleet's front-line support ship/battlecarrier in the Dominion War.

Personally, I've got my fingers crossed for a T6 Command Prometheus. It's really the odd guy out now; no revamps, no tweaks/buffs, not even a 2409/2410 style skin...

    An idea:

    T6 Command Escort: Cronus Class
    Hull: 33,000 (lv50) - 39,000 (lv60)
    Shield: 0.95
    Turn: 16
    Weapons: 4 fore, 3 aft
BOffs: Cmdr Tac/Cmd, Lt. Cmdr Sci, Lt. Cmdr Tac, Lt. Eng/Cmd, Ens. Uni
    Consoles: 5 tac, 3 sci, 2 eng
    +10 wep power, +5 shield, +5 aux
    Escort Mastery
Ship Trait: Combined Weaponry Assault: When using multiple weapon types (beam, cannon, torp, mine), the target's outgoing damage and damage resistance is reduced. Effect stacks based on the number of weapon types hitting it.
Ship Console: Photonic Decoy Drone Launcher: Deploys a drone that sets a course past the targeted foe and generates am extremely large level of threat, drawing fire away from you and your team. While the drone is fragile, it's a small target and thus difficult to hit by foes. Forms set with Multi-Vector Assault Module console; 2-part set: Advanced Weaponry Deployment: Adds additional weapon systems to the Multi-Vector sections (Alpha gains a Dual Phaser bank fore, a beam array for and aft, a mine launcher aft, Beta gains a Phaser dual heavy cannon, a phaser turret and Photon mine aft, Gamma gains a dual beam bank, photon torp fore, and a tachyon mine launcher aft), Photonic Cannon: Upgrades Decoy Drone, Enables it to fire a simulated cannon of extreme firepower, does heavy Electrical DoT to foes that target the drone.

If you REALLY want to push the projectile aspect of a potential T6 HEC/Akira, you want it as an Intel ship while having Command Specialization Bonuses.

    WUUUUTTT? Here's why:

    1. Command Spec Tree has some very nice projectile related bonuses.

    2. Intel abilities have far more powerful disables, debuffs to use.

    3. Command abilities are rather mediocre in strong projectile attacks and don't land much in the way of debuffing/disabling a target like Intel does. Concentrate Firepower is not a replacement for proper HYT/TS skills because of the "round robin" effect in teams and at most having a HYT1 buff.

    4. Intel ships all come with a standard cloak at the bare minimum for the Feds at no cost like a Cloaking Device Console.

The abilities and what they basically are about is the huge divider between Intel & Command. Command is all about team support. Intel is all about debuffing, crippling disables, and some high powered energy weapon attacks. For a Projectiles oriented ship, you want the powerful debuffing/disables abilities from Intel.

I want to know why its so hard to put in ships with both Command and Intel slots. Especially when they tend to be dual slots.

While the original Akira class was certainly a monster of a torpedo ship(no less than 15 torpedo tubes - including starboard and portside tubes that were unique among starfleet vessels), the nature of the point defense system being photon means you're generally going to hybrid the ship into energy weapons anyways(which in turns boosts the phaser point-defense - a tool that's proven fantastic at ripping down shield facings for a solid torpedo salvo).

Concentrate Firepower would be nice for the shield-bypass more than anything; perhaps Rally Point to supplement it's overall (point-)defensive nature; or even Ambush while using the fighters to lure in targets. Suppression Barrage is a fantastic debuff as well if we're looking at it becoming a full Command ship.

The HEC has never been a super-offensive escort; it's closer to a destroyer both in hull and turnrate. It also has the ability to launch fighters which was something the devs mentioned being an inspirational point for the CBCs.

Sure, I could see throwing down an Ionic Turbulance with an OSS+APC->Offense for some really stupid damage, but nothing about the Akira really screams "Intelligence Ship" to me. It has always been seen on screen working in tandem with other ships.
