Game feels like a mobile game, timers everywhere, pay to skip forward.
It's the reason why I leave for months after playing for a while. There really isnt any progression (long term). I have fleet t5, I have all rep to t5. I'm working on crafting, but thats a bunch of 20h timers.
STF's are still the same, almost noone plays new ones. I'm sick and bored of CE and borg stfs (they dont offer ANY rewards that are useful)
The game feels bland and boring.
Where are the thousands of missions (quests).
Where are the daily hubs (new every month or two)
Why is ground combat so horrible, glitchy and clunky
One of the things that STO did right is give the players the ability to create their own missions. Also, when MMOs mention they have thousands of missions, I have to laugh at their quality. I rather have a Featured Episode mission than a bunch of Defeat X npcs, delivery quest, or whatever boring quest they come up with. Quantity != Quality.

I have to agree with this. I believe the Reputation system, the Doff system and the RnD system could all be put together in one single UI, as they are essentially the same: 1) Pick a project, 2) fill it up, 3) wait, 4) claim results. Either system is severly lacking in depth and immersion, and all come without their own gameplay component.
I believe what this game needs is a boost in player/player and player/NPC non-combat interaction to add that depth and immersion, i. e. a "hail" dialog with extended chat features (as simple as a chat window with a viewscreen, or perhaps combined with a "transporter padd" for trading), the option of docking my shuttle at my friend's ship, not to mention the ability to control my ship from my bridge out of combat, the ability to repair ship or personal injuries by interacting with my ship's interior, or have my engineer/doctor friend do it. The list can go on.
I need to be able to fill more roles with my characters than just "combat". I often find myself logged in but not actively playing the game (i.e. by replaying a combat chunk), but instead simply waiting for assignments to finish. I guess it all boils down to "Trek" in the game: In the shows, those epic battles are nice and awesome, but make up only a small percentage of "Trek". In this game, all that happens in between is more or less confined to a meta UI, and randomized.

A balancing of foundry mission rewards is very tricky as sone people would exploit it as soon as the foundry becomes viable again...
I like the real foundry missions is what im sayin lol
