DS9 Revamp suggestion

Any player arriving that the station will spawn in one of the four airlock without beaming animation. They can choose to leave via those areas with a pop up prompt asking if they are leaving the station once they reach the end of the air lock.
I would like to see Quark's opened up to the same map as the promenade and add in the spiral staircases that can get you up to the second level. They would just be a point to interact with, similar to the turbolift.
The Dominion War museum is just an idea, if not, just replace it with more holosuites or other shops.
If Special Task Force location is to be removed, they can replace that space with Romulan and Klingon embassy.
The random gift shops and florist is there to add in life to the station and would not have any interactive features.
The school would have the door close and depending on the time, the inside might just be dark or have kids in the classroom. Outside, it might have a bulletin board with drawings and such.
The surgical wing to the Infirmary is just a locked door with a sign if there isn't enough room.
The trader doff mission giver will have his own office and he share it with the commodity broker.
The security office will house the security doff mission giver with the Fed npc sitting behind the desk and the KDF npc sitting in front of the desk as if they are consulting each other.
The different food items will be sold separately depending on the theme (origin) of the food items.

Personally, I would want the map to scale down but tech limitation by the game camera would make it difficult. However, I would like the height scale down a little because it is way too tall right now.

I like your design, but I'd like to see the Bank/Exchange in the middle. The whole area could be called the assay office. It would take up roughly half of the center area, opposite quark's; where you have the dominion war museum and the holosuite right now. The holosuite could be left in the same position, just on a second level.

If it isn't too much work, I would like to see kids running around on the Promenade, on Bajor, and other civilian maps. It is just too weird that there are no kids in some places.
We saw kids running around on DS9 shows and there has to be kids because the school exist. In my head, I imagine that since there is an increase presence of the Federation and the relative stability of region since the end of DS9 to in-game time, the station will become more prosperous and popular. More people will work there and bring their family along.

I agree with a lot of this. DS9 greatly needs a revamp to be brought more into how it is on screen, rather than the oversized, mostly empty hall it is. I would love to see Quarks as a part of the open map, rather than having to load in and out of it. I would love to see children running around, that weren't creepy little Captains. More functionality, better scaling, more stores like the show (the Klingon Deli, Complete with Opera singing chef or a Cardassian running the tailor shop ((possible espionage doffing?))

There is a lot of wasted potential at DS9, and frankly, the model wasn't that great 5 years ago, so in 2015, we should get a better representation of it. Just because the game started in 2010, doesn't mean you have to leave it there. I'm sure there are plenty of others that would love to see a Revamping of DS9, to bring it more towards the canon aesthetics of a living, breathing Bajoran station. More so to see how much better it would be after being made the primary hub of travel and commerce to the Gamma Quadrant.

Really, it just deserves better than what it got, in game.

Agreed. And if they need a reason, they could do it as part of revamping the old STF mission "Terradome".

I'd also like to add the suggestion to give Quarks its own instance instead of it being slapped onto DS9 directly to reduce the problem with the player limit per instance a bit.

I wanted Quark's to be part of the promenade because it feel so left out right now. It is very opened in the show, especially on the upper level.
Technical issues is a part of many game design choices from the devs, but I hope they'll manage to solve player limit problems with instances.

Didn't Quarks have an open door policy, meaning that they never closed them (unless circumstances required)? The doors on both levels should be wide open, meaning that it has to be in the main map.
