Simple Quality of Life Improvements

The purpose of this thread is to suggest basic, simple-to-implement types of quality of life improvements to the game. Little things, rough edges that could be easily chiseled off and polished up. If you had to pick one thing, what would it be?

NOTE: This does *not* mean "fix this bug" or "fix that bug" or "fix all the bugs". Bug fixes go without saying.

For example, here is mine, and it should be very easy:

Could we get it to where, when we launch from Deep Space Nine, Starbase 39, Drozana station, or anywhere else this appears, the station doesn't IMMEDIATELY HAIL US asking if we want to DOCK AGAIN? Arrgh. That just gets my panties in a bunch every time it happens.

    Seconded on this alone. Many a time have I accidentally pressed the Use key when it pops up and I find myself transported back to the station after beaming back to my ship.

    Another little bug that irks me in particular involves the Traelus System. A little extension on the range at which the Enter buttons become visible would be nice.

    How about once we've seen the disruptive screen hogging image of the system we just left or are about to enter and minimize it (sigh) maybe it could stay minimized... forever... unless we maximize it again.

    - slider for everything that can be stacked in inventory/bank when one wants to give some of it (but not all) to an alt f.e.

    - (account-)bank access on dilithium mining station

    That's already there, but isn't obvious. You just hold down ctrl when you drag or double click a stack to move it and you will get that slider.
    The true QOL improvement there would be to make it more obvious. It took me the best part of a year to find out about it :P

    Doesn't that exist already? You drag your stackable thing while holding CTRL (or ALT, I forget which) and when you let go, the slider comes up? Or am I not understanding you right?

    (Well shut my mouth, oblivious beat me to it. :) )

    Reputation marks to Dilithium conversion projects. Instead of a 50 mark hard cap, put a slider on it.

    Mass mail deletion!

    Having to press every mail individually then delete is very frustrating. The same systel when chosing doffs for projects! Tick the mails you want to delete and hit delete. Or as it is now, there's also a "select all" button!

    Do that please :)

    Default of (1) on item slider in Exchange instead of all.

    ( Who would even post (0) of an item durp?)

    All of these changes have to do with a single room on Starfleet Academy:

    1. REDUCE Lt. Ferra's interact range. I can talk to him from every other interact in the room and it gets in the way.

    2. Increase the interact range of both the personnel officer and the Path to 2409 dispensing computer. You have to be practically on top of those to actually get the interact.

    3. Add a mail access console to the room.

    i find dialogue spam pretty annoying. i dont really need to see the dialogues every single one of the 500-odd times ive run CSE or the like.

    i also really hate it when i am mashing F picking up loot and the dialogue pops open and warps me out of the system.

    and perhaps the 'stop engines on dialogue spam' option should be disabled by default for the new people? that seems to get them killed a lot

    i would also LOVE to disable the warp in/out animations. its so annoying to warp out, warp in, spin around the ship, then get hit with dialogue spam.

    A "Don't show this again" check box for stf dialogs
    No disabling of engines for opening certain DOFFing windows
    No resetting of DOFFing windows when opening the replicator
    change the color of ALL "Finish Now" buttons to purple and/or add a confirmation box
    A "fill all" button for reputation missions (whatever the actual word is)
    direct number entry as an option at all sliders.

    Auto-focus on the input box for the replicator. Getting 17 of something is easier to type than to slide.

    thx dudes, didn't even have been aware of that crtl trick :eek::D.... then, of course: make it more obvious ;).
