Shield Upgrade Gone Wrong?

Hi Guys last night I was upgrading my Dyson shields to the tier below maximum (not epic) the project said it would take 7hrs so I left it to do it's thing.

I've logged back in nearly 20 hrs later and I can't find the shields anywhere.
Not on the ship
in the inventory
in the bank

I've sent a requested for help via GM but no joy, is it me not looking in the right place? or is it a bug?

I hope to get them back but in the meantime I'll be on Vulcan.

    Did you click the upgrade button within your inventory and then click "claim item?" It won't just drop back into your inventory without claiming it.
    When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

    Have you tried posting this in the bug report section of the forums? Nobody in "General Discussion" can help you.

    It's not like mods or GMs would restore the item anyway.

    So, how does bug report forum help any? Presumably it's an already known bug, or an already reported bug that is being actively ignored by Cryptic.

    Assuming it's even a bug in the first place.
