Well we knew he was battling copd. Not even strong Vulcan mind and body could save him. At least we know he won't have a cameo in Trek 13. Hopefully they will shoot his body out of a missile into space :P After all James Doohan's ashes were sent into space. His voice will forever live on in STO. Too bad this game is not worthy of his voice appearance.

I can't quite wrap my head around the fact that there is no more Spock. What a loss, condolences to his family.

He can't die, it's canon. I'm betting he gave his Katra to Zachary Quinto on the set of Into Darkness.

Wouldn't it have made more sense if he passed it to Karl Urban ? :)

Seriously though the next movie will be less without another Nimoy Cameo.

one of my first thoughts, nutrek 3 wont even have nimoy to make it interesting.

a real shame, i knew he was gonna be a goner soon, hearing about his illness and all the hospital visits lately, so i guess i was sorta prepared for this. still REALLY sucks.

His last twitter post a few days back was pretty much a good bye. A lovely poetic one at that.

No doubt to bad he won't be able to add his name in little cameos and such in the future. He leaves a lot of great trek behind though. Might just have to sit down and watch ST IV again tomorrow. Tempted to watch ST V directly after to be reminded how great he was. ;)

    r.i.p.

83 is pretty much old, though for some too young yet to go! i'm sure he'll enjoy the merge with the universe his mind travelled so many times before.

and in the end i think he'd be fine with being called what he really was: a darn fine human being!

Farewell Mr. Spock, Leonard Nimoy you will be missed. I loved his portrayal of Samual in the Movie about David.

    Spock is dead!
He must have played this bad mmorpg game called sto for the very first time and said to himself, enough is enough, wtf, did they do to star trek? i'm leaving this world, i don't want to live in such a terrible world anymore.

    Farewell Leonard and thanks.

Thanks for having personified the face of logic, thanks for having told us what, in the human race, is wrong.
We still need to learn what you tried to teach us but maybe in the future we will be all more vulcan, more logical, rational and pacific.

    We will miss you.

    Long live and prosper.

While your exaggeration for effect is intriguing I honestly wouldn't give what you are saying a complete impossibility factor. Honestly having his voice in the game today is a disgrace to his name. He has far more class than this **** company will ever have. He is probably rolling over in his grave now realizing he left his voice on a product that stands for everything he and his character's are against.

Once again, Spock succeeds in unites everyone in one single thought, PvPers/PvErs alike, and reminds us of our love of Trek and the loss we have experienced.

R.I.P Formidable warrior, thanks for opening our minds again, even if it only lasts an ephemeral moment.

except erpers...they still ask for everyone else to be banned.
