I know several people have made posts throughout the forums about the intrepid bridge interiors and how most of us got screwed in one way or another. Some of us have waited over 5 years after being promised then disappointed with "look-a-like" bridge packs. So now that they finally have arrived, what does Cryptic/PWE do? They make it a limited/bundle only deal. Someone spent a lot of time getting the details correct on those bridges.
We all know that money is their primary concern here and as a business owner myself, I have to admit that that should be any for profit company's primary goal. That, quality control, and productivity. Well they are losing money by not putting these up for sale permanently. There are a lot of people willing to buy the mega bundle that was out for a limited time, just to get the two bridges...I'm one of them. Remember when the attack ship came? How OP it was? So many people shouted about it that they've re released it again. They can do the same here.
If you want the intrepid bridges I implore you to post your thoughts below. I for one am sorry that I missed out on this. I hope Cryptic will reconsider their decision, if they haven't already. We all want this and those bridges equal money so I don't understand why they haven't made them a C-Store item. And a lot of us have waited since day one for them. I'm sure they just need to make the needed adjustments to the store, and release them with the next patch.
"Being a troll myself, I classify this malcontent as a Type-2 Oblivious Troll. My reasons for coming to this conclusion are: The annoying colored text he deploys, the contradictory threads he creates, the excessive whining and foot stamping, the amusement factor of his threads, and the apparent lack of realization that he is in fact a troll, like me, and is not the heart broken, victimized, player, he sees himself as."
How about 1500 zen for a single bridge / interior pack (Intrepid, Voyager, Belfast, or TOS). Cryptic can't complain how much time and effort is put into them and why they make so few and then not sell them in as many interesting ways as possible.
I'm sure more people would pay 1000-1500 zen for a full interior than having to buy full packs, but people would also buy the packs.
Seriously why is more choice = more money hard to understand?
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

They should either sell it as a separate item or allow the interiors to be claimed if you have all 3 ships from the bundle. I bought the Intrepid Retrofit and Galaxy Retrofit back when they first came out, over 2 years ago, so it seems I'm being punished for supporting Crypitc back then.
I have 2 members in my fleet that would love tot have an Intrepid bridge interior.
Both of them bought Intrepid variants prior to this pack ever being released (as did I) and considering that once you have one of the variants, it does not allow you to buy the pack.
I am a little surprised that Cryptic didn't release this as a stand alone sale on the c-store. There must be a great many others out there that would like the interior and would buy it.
So count me and my two fleetmates (who unfortunately are not on the forums) in as asking Cryptic to release this as a c-store item.
I have it, but i'm not a big fan of exclusivity so i'm in support of making it available for purchase more openly
These are the Voyages on the STO forum, the final frontier. Our continuing mission: to explore Pretentious Posts, to seek out new Overreactions and Misinformation , to boldly experience Cynicism like no man has before.......
they should have it check and see if you own all the paid intrepids and if you do give you the bridges you paid even more to do so in that case so its worth the bit of work they have to do to make that happen.
i got lucky i claimed my intrepid back in the day with the admiral token and never bought any so i could buy the pack on a different character.
Don't you get it... by making something available only for a limited time, it means less work for them. They can just re-release it again later and make a ton more money.
That's what PWE is about. As much money for as little effort as possible.
They won't just release it and let us buy it when we want to. and then design something NEW that we can buy whenever we want. Oh no no... That means they have to do some work. And that will eat into their grindfest design and nerfing scheduls, and we cannot have that, now can we?
You're absolutely right. I didn't really want to include that fact when I re edited my original post. Apparently petitions aren't allowed as they would flood the forums so it makes sense. So I decided that instead of a petition, we could simply post our thoughts and hopefully, someone from cryptic will read them and suggest our ideas. PWE has done great things in the past and I have no doubt that they will in the future, the same is said for Cryptic. But all companies make mistakes, usually big ones. If they are wise, and they seem to be very, they will learn from each mistake and thus improve.
As for as much money for as little effort as possible, I am neutral about that. As an owner I want to make as much money as I can. That's one of the reasons I formed a business. Having to do extraneous work that might not be required is not something I find enticing. I believe that if you can do something by taking shortcuts that don't compromise the product's function or safety standards and STILL come out with a good product, then you ought to do so for many reasons, paying your employees and other costs are some of them.
PWE owns quite a few games and thus have a system down of how they run things that they apply to all of their games. But I would like to think that we here in STO are different then players of those other games because this game is about a franchise that has lasted for decades and requires attention to detail when it comes to content design and implementation. They know this and have spent extra time and resources because of this. They also have to negotiate with the owners of the franchise which can cause setbacks or cancellations on projects. To make up for this extra time and cost, it's only logical that they make more items available for us to buy.
The problem with making something limited edition is the idea behind it is based on the hope that people will jump to buy it in swarms while it's still available. The problem with this is that they cannot possibly appeal to all would-be customers in such a small time frame. Yes, you will get people to jump and get a surge of money but what about people that missed the opportunity? I just returned to the game mid january from taking a break from september last year. I missed getting the breen carrier. If I could buy it I would. I've missed a lot of limited time items that I really want and am willing to pay for. If they put the items up on the store permanently, and let us buy them when we discover them, they will never have to worry about it again and it's just more profit, too.

Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
