I See Some People Run Fast

dashremdashrem Member Posts: 20 Arc User
A lot faster than I can. Can someone tell me how they do? I know there is a tactical run speed buff, but this seems to be a permanent thing.

Thanks.

    Between the command spec bonus, rep trait, and the frost boots, plus the motion acceleration, you could potentially zoom through a map faster than a speeding bullet.

    You forgot forward march. Becomes ridiculous if 5 captains with the same tree and spec point are active (50% more speed)

    Could Be
    1. if they have a pulsing red glow about them , tac players using Motion Accelerator from their kit powers

    2. A green Glow , a quick burst of speed from the counter command Ground set

    3. White dry ice effect from their feet , thats the boots from the winter wonderland christmas event, which also act as ice skates on the frozen lake , they give a increase to run speed in all other environments

    there may be others from the new command and intelli rep which add to an individuals running speed .

    so it all depends
    Laddy, don't you think you should... rephrase that??

    Not sure what else I could have done to ask...? I've asked in game but nobody gave me a straight answer. One time it broke out into a your momma fight. I didn't join in. I left and came back 20 minutes later and it was still going on.

    LOL, and here I am wanting to be able to simply walk. Yes that's right, I want to walk at the pace an NPC does sometimes. A nice slow stroll. I don't know why the DEVs think we have to run everywhere, it's not like we are cadets anymore.

    If you're going to ask in-game, don't use the Zone chat.

    Go into your keybinds, theres an unassigned function for walking speed, just the same as assigning a sprint key, but for some reason its not assigned by default

    I use the frost boots....

    But what I don't understand is the players that seem to jump INCREADIBLY much higher than I can...

    There's also the(science) Automated Adrenal thingy that came out of one of the lock boxes, that also makes you run faster.

    Caitians (Federation) and Ferasans (KDF) both jump higher than other races due to being cats/catlike, think it's their inbuilt trait.

    enjoy.

    There is also the option to keybind it in the game options. But it's usually not assigned.

    • /bind (key) ++walk

    should create a toggle button to switch between jogging and walking, so
    • /bind t ++walk
    would make t switch you between modes

    Here is the keybind.

    [key] "+walk"

    or

    [key] "++walk"

    With +walk the key needs to be pressed down, with ++walk it becomes a toggle.
