How do I train Veril, Satra, Hiven, D'Vex in Command and Intel abilties

I have picked up a few training manuals for Intel and Command skills. I would like to train Satra and D'Vex in Command skills and Hiven and Veril in Intel skills, but am unable to do so. How do I unlock the ability to train them in those elite talents and skills? The same goes for the Breen and Jem'Hadar BOFFs.

Assuming you can train them the same as any other boff then here's how:

    1. get to tier 3 in the spec you want to train them in (10 pts invested)

    2. Head to your R&D screen and use the officer training tab to find out what skills you need to by to make the specialization qualification of your choice:

    2 a) For intel its:
Space: Evade target lock 1, Intel Team 2, EMP probe 2, Subnuc carrier wave 2
Ground: Tachyon stream 1, Harmless 2, Neuro Injector 2, Feign disintegration 2
costs 34.5K from the boff trainer
For command not sure but imagine its around the same price wise
2 b) Create a padd from the R&D officer training menu:
    costs 4 tritanium ; 1 thoron particle 200 dil and 2.5k ec

    3. Create the Specialization qualification for the branch you want (again in the R&D officer training section)

    4. Head to the skills section for the Boff you want to train: in the top right is a tab called Specialization. click that for the options to train you boff

    5. Have fun with your newly trained boff

You need a Specialization Qualification token to unlock it. You can find them in the training manuals section of the exchange by filtering for ultra rare quality.

intel or command specializations both require you to have 10 points in that specialization to unlock the ability to train your BOFFs in that spec, or spend a pissload on the ex

I bought a Command BOFF PADD for under 500k this past weekend, hardly a fortune, I made more than that selling purple drops from CCA.

Ah, I see. I picked up those training manuals, but I did not know that I needed to have a prerequisite level in the specialization to start the training process. Thank you.

I find 350k - 500k for a training manual to be absurd... but then again I also find $30 for pixel ships absurd so its probably just perspective

You only need the points spent if you want to make your own manuals. You can buy a Command or Intel manuals and open those up in your boffs, then you can use the boff trainer manuals in those schools.
