Intel Boffs and Universal seats?

"These are the only ships that will grant access to a Commander-level Intelligence Bridge Officer station" ~Via Dev blog

So does that mean we can technically slot Intel officers in universal slots? That blog statement would be true as far as I'm aware there is no Commander Universal seat right?

Can anyone confirm this?

    Doesn't the Recluse have a uni commander slot?

    we do not know in theory yes the intelligence boffs should work

    the specialist boffs do not though (the hybrid ones)

    I believe the Recluse and the Tal'Shiar borgified D'Deridex have uni commander slots... I highly doubt that these will be able to slot them, my guess is these will be hybrid boffs of some kind :(

    Intelligence Bridge Officers have 2 selections of abilities instead of one like normal bridge officer slots. They are Intelligence and Engineering/Tactical/Science. So if I have an Intelligence Engineer Bridge Officer and slot them in a Universal Bridge Officer slot, then they have access to their Engineer Bridge Officer abilities not their Intelligence Bridge Officer abilities.

    It ruins the appeal of Tier 6 ships if I can just slot an Intelligence Bridge Officer in a Universal Bridge Officer slot on a Tier 5 ship and get the Intelligence Bridge Officers abilities. So obviously Cryptic has to make any Specialist Bridge Officer abilities unavailable to Universal Bridge Officer slots.

    Frankly the universal stations on t6 ships should work for intelligence and command Boffs. I can understand not allowing it on t5 and below, but anything specifically made for DR should allow this flexibility.

    Anyway, universal slots don't work for Intel because they want you to buy the Intel ships for that ... actually tbph your supposed to forget intel exists now and drop money on all the new command stuff.
